Reggie has asked me to commish this years forum fantasy football league with TJ mia so figure its a good a time as any to get cracking on setting up the league.
Here's a link to last year's thread: http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=452660&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
and the espn league: http://games.espn.go.com/ffl/leagueoffice?leagueId=263945&teamId=10&seasonId=2011
Last year MBTL beat Reggie in the finals with End Run, buno, hornby, malibu, KillahKam, fatpig, mbtl, turkey, druid, braylon and myself rounding out the 12 team league. I think it's only fair to give those that participated last year first shot at signups so I'll give those guys a week or so to post here and I'll pm you the league details.
If you weren't involved last year though don't worry because I'd like to change the format this year. I think we have enough interested posters on this board to expand the league to 14-16 teams but in order to do that we'll need to shrink rosters otherwise the talent pool will be too diluted. Last year we used a slightly unusual roster setup with 3 starting RBs and forced bench spots (had to keep 3 QBs for example) and I'd be open to changing it up a bit. Considering we have all of last year's rosters we could possibly do keepers as well (or at least definitely could going forward). That said I don't want to be the fantasy football dictator and am leaving it open to whatever the group decides.
TL;DR - sign up for fantasy football and discuss how we should setup the league.

If there's a spot open after the guys from last year signup, I'd be happy to take it. The guys I'm usually in a league with have gotten too busy to care about me dominating them anymore. _________________

i would highly prefer Yahoo over ESPN... just so much easier to use imo.
also rosters were huge last year - i say if we keep the huge rosters, make the benches smaller and have more starters.
that said, i am in. _________________

I'm still in.
I didn't mind the deep rosters that much, but the forced roster spots annoyed me (2 kickers? ugh). Although if we expand to 14-16 owners I agree that we should pare the size down a bit. I guess at the end of the day, I don't really care what the rules are, though. Half the fun for me is figuring out how to exploit them.
If we go the Keeper route, I don't think we should do it based off last year's rosters. Kinda difficult to do that if we expand. We should draft fresh and go from there. I'd also prefer to keep a small amount of kept players (3-5) as opposed to an All-Roster keeper league. _________________

I AM STILL HERE.
Hopefully Horny doesn't lay a whooping on me again.
& my preference is to go a keeper route.
League size & all that jazz, i don't care about.
I AM ALL ABOUT KEEPING PLAYERS.
slight addiction to it. _________________

it took me like 6 weeks on ESPN to figure out how to see the box score with the 2 opposing teams side by side.
and ESPN hasn't evolved enough to let you drag and drop when setting your lineup. i have to check boxes, what is this 2005? _________________

I'm game but can we please have have small rosters.
Like have a set up of
Starters
QB
RB
RB
WR
WR
WR
TE
Flex (RB/WR/TE)
K
DEF
And have the bench around 4-6 players
The roster were so big that it was impossible to make any good FA pick ups later in the season because anyone that had any potential at all was just sitting on someone's bench. _________________
