in 2013? Laughing

It would be nice, but I just pray that we keep it closer than we did last year against the Lions.. .

We're only currently carrying 3 tight ends.. Kendricks, Mulligan, McNeil.

Anyone think we add another? I think they are waiting to see what Ganaway can do at FB (fun fact: the lone touchdown the Jets scored this preseason was scored by Terrence Ganaway when he was lined up as a FB). If he proves to be competent, I could see us dropping Brit Miller and adding a TE.

What do you guys think? Kellen Winslow is the only high profile TE on the market (I'm not interested) but he will probably be signing with the Pats. Chris Cooley might not be a bad option for his experience as an H-back and his blocking ability. I am not a Jeremy Shockey fan.

The one guy I was really interested in was Brett Brackett.. but the Jaguars went and "IR-stashed" him. I'd like to grab a young guy with upside. I wish DeAngelo Peterson had shown more in preseason.

Not only did the Patriots sign Kellen Winslow, but they have also now added Uh-oh. That makes 3 pass catchers that they have added from our roster. I'm thinking this will be one of McDaniel's last stops in the NFL.

I don't think we will drop Miller but I definitely could see him and maybe Ganaway lining up at TE possibly just to show the defense a different look. I think Schottenheimer will get creative with the packages/personnel he uses.

yea I dont think thats the case. I think grabbing him to see if they can make him into a Hybrid FB was the plan. See if he can block (mostly if he is willing because it can be taught) while also being able to give you an extra threat running the ball (La'Ron McClain style) then he is a great grab. But not TE.

And Im not sure that a TE is who we would be adding if we have another spot. Schotty doesnt seem like he is into the dual reeving TEs

Quote from rotoworld

La Canfora's report indicates Brockers avoided a dreaded high ankle sprain. Whereas the Rams may have been without Brockers until Week 4, they may now get him back as soon as Week 2 or 3. St. Louis will struggle to stop running games as long as Brockers is missing from the lineup. Look for the Rams to turn to a rotation of Matt Conrath and Kellen Heard to replace him against Detroit.

I don't know why, but I've got a good feeling about this Heard kid. I think he sticks around after Brockers comes back and works his way up to #3. Langford and Brockers would be the top 2. Heard would be the #3/backup nose. Conrath or Scott would be the #4/backup undertackle.

Isnt Scott still hurt? Like enough to where they were talking IR or injury settlement?

He's been held out of practice the past couple of days with a boot on. But apparently he is improving quickly too (via Fisher), which is good news.

Yeah word is its not a high ankle sprain.
He should be back in 2-3 weeks.
