We will have one legacy class enshrined. This will consist of three members instantaneously - our three fallen brothers.
We will then have our first class enshrined. It will consist of up to two members. Voting will be discussed later.
At which point each subsequent class will take place at somepoint during the off-season. And only during the off-season.
After the first five members are inducted (inclusive of the legacy members) the general base (everyone here) can vote and select one member to go in the ROH per year. The already enshrined ROH members may also elevate one member to ROH status for a total of two members able to be inducted per year. The ROH members need not nominate and select someone each year.
This still up for discussion....
Voting
How would everyone feel about each year any person may submit up to 5 names. After 48 hours, the top 3 most listed individuals will be nominated. And we each send a PM to the host as to who we want with one vote. That person gets enshrined. (For the first class, the top 4 names mentioned will be listed and the top two voted for will be inducted)
Does that sound agreeable, or do we need to adjust?
Actual Enshrinement
When avaliable, do we want to try to include a mini bio?
Find a legendary post of said poster?
Link their names with a legendary Cowboys player either in the HOF or ROH?
Actual Award
So that no one has to lose their sig (which is akin to an identity around here...
How would everyone feel about an Avatar being created?
Or a Small Banner you can include on top of your current sig?
Or a Small Star you can add at the tail end of your sig. With like ROH 1st Class or something like that?
Thoughts? |
Voting is fine.
I like the idea of linking them to a player but then we get into the issue of everyone that wants to be LYNN SCOTT. I think it should be up to the individual. We can have either a sig or a avatar created.
Legendary Posts can be hard to find at times, but they should have a speech written by them for the award. _________________ R.I.P. Nikolas and Brian you will truly be missed.

If T14, B2TB and SA aren't the first ones inducted, it would be a serious miscarriage of justice. It's a shame that so few of the current posters even know who T14 is or the kind of contributor that he was. _________________

Excellent. I nominate D82 to run and maintain it!
I figured it should be a Mod to do so. And I feel like D82 will outlast both Tex and TSSS due to his youth and vigor.
Thanks! _________________

Theres not much I can find fault with as far as how its run. Go for it. I (and I assume Matts, slam, etc) would enjoy it if we had a bit of a celebrity roast thread for them (excluding those who have passed on of course) where everyone just lays into them... in the name of fun of course. _________________

That's an excellent idea. Aside from the Legacy posters, everyone inducted basically gets a CC-esq roast. _________________

Namely, TSSS. You are not old, per say. But you also are not 18 and just got engaged and have a few puppies. So Des wins. _________________

There is much win with a forum ROH. I like the idea of T14, B2TB, and SA as the initial induction. I also like the idea of havine a HOF-like characteristic where the forum votes for one person and those in the ROH vote for one person every year. Of course, we would obviously have to start that process in the second or third year.
Or, we could do 5 inductess for the first time (including those 3). _________________ Quote from May 7, 2013...

ya pretty sure we are doing the 3 + 2. 3 + 3 would work too. _________________
