Welcome to the 2012 Eagles forum team REGULAR SEASON thread!

>>>Jerseys<<<

NEWS

Coach's remarks:
Quote:
Well ladies and gentlemen, the season's opening finally dawns upon us. The training camp practices and positional battles were both grueling and trying, coupled with the intense summer heat it made for one of the tougher training camps in the league.

That is not to say we are not a better team because of it. The guys practiced hard, and the starters earned their spots. Even the young guys on the depth chart are going to play significant roles this season and have a chance to earn their stripes.

With that, I present to you the official depth chart:

Depth CHART:

*Starters BOLDED

Offense:

QB: Blahman88
RB: Poloc2289, RBrown86
FB: Eaglesfan5-36-81
WR: Nlesthought, Jeezla, Bednarik60
TE: JayAp07, Dr. Philly
LT: oland11
LG: McNabb2Maclin
C: McNabbNo5
RG: Alice, Jonu62882 ?
RT: Remixxxxx

Defense:

DE: RBC, Hammertime52
MLB: babyatemydingo
SLB: Withmy89vision
WLB: killdawabbit
FS: SiLo
SS: VIPMSP
LCB: Willylaw
RCB: sunnygsm

Note to coaches:

Please take note, the wide receiver position is still up for grabs. We will see who steps up during the season.

UPDATE

We will now be moving onto the regular season.

For the regular season, there will be a set of TOTALLY VOLUNTARY AND OPTIONAL challenges for individuals, to earn points and "level up". The winner will be donned the "2012 Eagles Forum Team MVP" until the next time we have one of these (which may be never, so this could be a one-time accomplishment!)

You gain points for certain challenges I set for you. I am doing this all on the fly so forgive me for any inconsistencies or problems.

Have fun and good luck!

Challenge3: You are worried about your own health. Recruit an Eagles forum member to be your RT.

Challenge5: Write a love-letter to Matts of the Dallas forum. Post it in TAET and post his reply as well. Make it good!

Challenge3: Nabbs is sending you on a dive straight for the Colts forum off-topic thread (this ain't Colts talk). Go there and make a post confessing your love for Colts-Eagles games. No trolling, no breaking forum rules, and no saying it's part of a challenge. Also end the love letter with a picture of Kate Upton as our official olive branch from our forum.

The SEASON

Game 1, Eagles Forum vs Houston Texans

Headlines

Phire wrote:
Updates (Game 1)
**see front page for full details, these are the headlines**

Blahman is off to a hot start, putting his name in the headlines this week. His game 1 stat-line reads a smooth 21-28 (earning the conservative offensive coordinator Nabbs4u's trust). He threw for 1 touchdown, and threw no picks. He also rushed 4 times for 28 yards.

sunnygsm, the cornerback playing out of position, surprised many critics and anxious fans. While not being able to register any interceptions, he was able to make several key deflections and even had a fumble recovery. He did let a deep pass over his head completed to WR Andre Johnson, but that's to be expected from a young corner who otherwise did a very good job against the all-pro wide out.

YOU BOTH EARN 1 POINT. YOUR NEW ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE POSTED AS SOON AS I MAKE THEM UP.

Coaches can help me with challenges! They may get more difficult as we progress here.

UPDATE

Game1 vs the Houston Texans was a blow out. Our team crushed Houston.

Hammertime registered a sack and a forced fumble in his debut.

Oland requested a change to LT and immediately made an impact, keeping his QB upright the entire game.

Blahman is earning honors from the media, possibly Fed-ex air player of the week.

Poloc fumbled once, but promises to have a better outing the next week. Still a solid performance!

Given our Running game Applause and lack of attendance in camp by our WR's conservative for now was the right approach. We incorporated a lot of 2 TE sets, max protect while utilizing the speed and versatility we have at RB/FB. Luckily for Blah, "Jay-bird" stepped up huge going 9 for 117yds and TD in the passing game. With some hard work in practice I'm sure the WR's and Blah will get on the same page, get their timing down and allow me to open the playbook up that much more in the coming weeks. Then again with Poloc gaining 150 total yds and TD along with EF5-36-81's additional 45yds and TD and blocking they way he did, we'll see? All depends on the match-ups and what clicking that day. Looking forward to our week 2 match-up.

Update 4

Rbrown86 had a few touches, being the change of pace back. He had one long gain that netted us a first down, but was also stopped in the backfield a few times that balanced his performance out.

Between Kiltman and Jroc, nothing should get through the middle of this defense. Kiltman had a flawless game, Houston's Arian Foster virtually had no yards up the middle. He also registered half a sack. Jroc had a good game as well, but let a sack go late in the 3rd quarter. He had QB Matt Schaub in his arms, which resulted in a HOU first down.

RainbowCB and Hammertime are two young guys at RDE and LDE. Defensive coordinator 808 worked these guys hard in the off-season to prepare them, and it is paying off. RCB registered half a sack with Kiltman. Hammertime set the edge the entire game and had 2 tackles for loss.

WillyLaw didn't come off as hot as his partner, sunnygsm, but his performance wasn't bad. He didn't have to cover all-pro Andre Johnson, whom Schaub targeted many times. So he didn't have many balls his way, but when they did come, he showed that he is a solid tackler and zone coverage man.

Game 2, Seattle Seahawks @ Eagles Forum

Phire wrote:
Game 2 SEATTLE @ PHILADELPHIA
SUMMARY

This was the first home game at Eagles Forum Stadium, and the team didn't disappoint the fans, though, things weren't as smooth as they wanted things to be.

Quarter 1
Eagles Forum was off to a hot start, on the first drive, QB Blahman repeatedly connected to his running backs, Poloc, Rbrown, and E53681. Poloc rebounded from a shaky performance last week with a promise to his offensive coordinator, Nabbs, and he delivered with a touchdown up the gut in the first.

Defensively, things were the same. The team started red hot, with Jroc and Kiltman not allowing much of anything from the opposing team.

Eagles forum 7
Seattle 0

Quarter 2

The offense began to stall, mainly because the Seattle defense began keying on the Eagles Forum backfield. QB Blahman tried to get the ball to his wide receivers, but none of them seem motivated.

The defense, luckily, still played at a high level. Free safety SiLo had a pick 6 as the first half ended!

Eagles Forum 14
Seattle 0

Quarter 3
The offense still struggled. The ball wasn't moving much and replacement RT Reemix was obviously still getting used to playing tackle. Blahman struggled through the air and so began running the ball to a little more success.

The defense began to let up too. Seattle started attacking the linebackers, where age is a concern for the Eagles forum, and in the third they seemed non-existant. Seattle scored on a long, grueling drive that ate most of the third quarter.

Eagles Forum 14
Seattle 10

Quarter 4

Here's where the offense began moving again. Pinned back in their own 15 yard line, Blahman called an audible for an up-the-gut run to EaglesFan53681 who busted out on a 40 yard run. From that, the Eagles pounded the rock until Blahman eventually took it into the endzone himself.

The defense dominated the 4th quarter, Jroc and Rainbow Carebear each registering a sack.

UPDATES

OC Nabbs is under fire for the decision to move backup FS Remix to RT. Although he played fine, some fans are uneasy about the decision and certain media outlets are criticizing the move.

The wide outs on offense seem invisible, and the linebackers on defense are out of gas too quickly.

Long snapper LOLKK is still beautiful.

Coach you've made some changes to the OL this past week and just signed another two FA yesterday. Were their injuries?

First let me start off by saying I need to do a better job and get my players better prepared then what we showed on the field this week. As to the question at hand. Yes for the game I made the switch swapping out Alice and replacing her with Remixxxxxxxx. Yes he is playing a new position but I believe he has the quickness and ability to adapt to Howard Mudds scheme. Unfortunately Alice had some blocking issue's and several penalties last week against Houston and I felt a change was needed moving forward. As for our our 2 FA signings. yes I am glad to inform you we have signed Veteran OG Jonu62882 and McNabb2Maclin to the roster. These are two versatile players who have played virtually every position on the line outside Center. During yesterdays game unfortunately the other two Alice's suffered injuries. Alice (LG) with a sever tear to the Perineum (likely done for the year) and Alice (RG) who was diagnosed earlier in camp with Endometriosis has also came down with Vulvovaginitis. Both players will be out a minimum of 6-8 weeks. Yes these are two big loses but I have no doubt as a Unit these players can overcome it and adapt.

Dave Spadaro wrote:
Coach, With those injuries what shape is your Oline in for next weeks game and who will be playing where?

Honestly Dave I think we will be alright moving forward. Both Jonu and M2M are experienced veteran players with forum and game experience. Yes they will be learning on the fly but that is My job to get them up to speed and on the same page as the others. As of now we will be kicking out oland11 to LT (natural position), placing M2M at LG and Jonu at RG for now. Both M2M and Jonu have the ability to play RT if needed depending on how quickly Remixxxxxx adapts to his new position. It's why we as a coaching staff like versatile players.

Sal Pal wrote:
Coach , are there any problems between you and the WR core? We would have thought given theirs size and speed they would be more involved in the game plan.

Sal I wouldn't necessarily say there is a problem just a lack of effort taking place since camp started and throughout practices. At some point these great athlete's have to become Men and when that happens they will be treated as such. You can't just rely on physical attributes to get through a game let alone a NFL season. There are Challenges everywhere. It's how you attack those challenges placed before you that dictate success on the field. It takes hard work and dedication. You can't just sit on you lorals and expect to skate by. Unfortunately as of now they all are showing very little interest in picking up the offensive game plans and getting on page with their QB Blahzilla! I take full responsibility for that. It is my job to get them motivated and willing to work.

Dave Spadaro wrote:
Coach, were there any positives from yesterdays game?

Absolutely. After a costly fumble toward the end of the Houston game last week Kill-Basa made a concerted effort to secure the ball and limit TO's this week. As I expected RB86 had a impact with several key plays including a screen pass he broke for 47 yds followed by his first TD of the season up the gut in the 1st for 12yds. EaglesFan53681 who busted out on a 40 yard run ending with Blahman eventually taking it into the endzone himself also played well for the second consecutive week. Jay-bird seem to be effeected mentally by the allegations of doping. I will say I think they are false, He's a good kid, hard worker and it showed last week in the Houston game. I'd look for a bounce back performance next week. As I stated in the beginning I need to do a better job of getting my players better prepared and executing properly on the field with the right play calls. We can't always rely on our defense to dominate game in and game out. It's our job on Offense to make life easier on the defense not harder. Thats my responsibility. Look forward to the challenge of next weeks opponent and getting my players prepared accordingly, Thanks

Game 3

Phire wrote:
Summary

The Eagles forum team came off hot for the 3rd straight week.

The offense still struggled without their wide outs. But Blahman kept working with his backfield, now being dubbed the "three tentacled monster" by certain media outlets. Poloc, while missing a block that got Blahman drilled by Demarcus Ware, had an outstanding game on the ground registering 2 touchdowns and 170 yards. Rbrown, following his strict workout regiment, had 6 catches for 63 yards. Fullback "The Theorem" (5-36-81) had 5 carries for 30 yards, and every carry resulted in a first down. The offensive line was also playing very well minus the holes at RG and LG. McNabbNo5 played his best game yet, while Oland utilized his unique "Langhorne Lateral Leg" move to pancake several defenders.

The defense was stifling. Two names necessary: Kiltman and Sunny. These two are nearing pro bowl level of defensive play. Kiltman registering 2 sacks against Tony Romo, and sunny picking him off once and keeping Dez Bryant invisible most of the game. Babyatemydingo also had his best game, those knees seem to be coming back to life as the season progresses.

]b]Tuesday the 17th UPDATE

DT: Kiltman (5) - The clear team captain. Has not shown any signs of wearing down and pursues opposing quarterbacks like a wolf. Great character and is a great "lead by example" leader.

RCB: sunnygsm (5) - The second team captain. This guy literally came out of nowhere. When nobody expected him to play very well, he's playing at a near pro-bowl level.

TE: JayAp07 (4) - With the wide receivers taking a break, the Jay-Bird has been the primary target of his quarterback. Is a great receiving threat but may need to work on his blocking before reaching pro-bowl level.

FB: Eaglesfan5-36-81 (4) - The bruising fullback is part of the "3 tentacled monster" of the backfield. Nearly every touch results in a first down, but may need a few more accomplishments before he becomes a house hold name.

RB: Poloc2289 (5) - The third and final team captain. Has had some trouble with blocking and a nearly costly fumble early on, but it's clear why he won the job in training camp. Truly a "Mr. Do-it-all".

C: McNabbNo5 (4) - Anchors the OL with his powerful legs. Needs more exposure to reach fan admiration.

DE: Hammertime52 (4) - Despite the rumored relationship with other DE RBC, has been stalwart at his end position.

LCB: Willylaw (4) - Playing opposite sunny, Mr. Law has also shown to be a capable cornerback in the league. He's more of a zone corner, and we'd like to see more plays being made.

QB: Blahman88 (4) - Truly doing all he can despite the lack of any wide receivers. Most likely the most popular player on the team.

----------Met expectations (2-3 pts)----------

DE: RBC (3) - Strange personality and rumored relationship with hammertime, has been playing average. Not bad, but could be better.

FS: SiLo (3) - True blue collar guy who comes to practice on time every day and gives his best effort.

RB2: RBrown86 (3) - A serviceable back-up RB. Has made some key plays thus far this season.

LT: oland11 (3) - Sometimes a bit emotional, but recently his good play has made a lot of people tolerant of his antics.

MLB: babyatemydingo (2) - Finally feeling a part of the team with his jersey. Now if we can only get him to wear his pants the right way.

----------Underachiever (0-1 pts)---------

WR: Nlesthought (0) - Invisible diva #1.

WR: Jeezla (0) - Invisible diva #2.

WR: Bednarik60 (0) - Invisible diva #3.

TE2: Dr. Philly (0) - Back-up TE who isn't getting much play time.

DT: JRoc (1) - Started off strong, but suffered an injury that he is currently playing through.

SLB: Withmy89vision (0) - Cold start to the season.

WLB: killdawabbit (0) - Has started off very cold. Reports are his 4th wife just gave birth to his 16th child.

RT: Remixxxxx (0) - Leg injury.

SS: VIPMSP (1) - Started off hot, his teammates in the defensive backfield are stealing all the plays from him.

LS: LOLKevinKolb (1) - Greatest long snapper ever?

If the instructions say "in TAET" then post in TAET, then post the link in here.
