Should Coke, Pepsi, Lakers, Apple, Cowboys, IBM, the Olympics, Nike, Addidas, Yankees or any of the other iconic logos change? While you may not realize it, the Raider's footprint is that large which is impressive when you consider how poorly managed the team has been for almost a decade. The Raider logo is recognized worldwide. Changing the logo would in effect cost the organization literally millions in "name recognition". It won't happen, nor should it.

If you have such a problem with the team and the logo, why don't you root for someone else. And all those rabid fans in the black hole with their costumes and crap just look stupid. What grown man that is not drunk comes out of the house in full costume? In my section we yell at these idiots to sit the hell down because we are watching the damn game. We aren't there to make a show or say look at me. Kind of like these threads. Sit down for a while and watch "the game" and see how it is done.

Rabid about what? The game? The players? Or simply coming out to be seen in stupid costumes and just to get drunk? You mean the ones that get so wasted that they pass out in the stands and don't finish the game? Or the ones that jump up and down in the aisles getting in your way so you can't see the game? I think I got it right. Idiots.
I have been going to games for decades. And they brought this crap up here from LA after the return. I really wish they would take it back down there and leave the fake tough guy acts at home and get behind the team because that is what it is all about.

i do not want to change our uniform at all..
but i will say, being from toronto canada, the avid raider fans is part of what made me start liking them.
im not talking about the passed out drunk guys ( i dont understand how people can drink while watching their team play)
but theres a monkey, darth vader, some guy with the raider shield on his head, and then some guy with the spikey uniform... they get a lot of time on the air, and i think that is a big part of what makes our franchise great.
ive never sat near them, so i cant comment on them getting way to drunk. but i have nothing against them dressing up like that

I would disagree. Our franchise was great long before these guys put all that crap on. I have absolutely no idea what the costumes have to do with football. And all that face time on television is bravado that is fake as a $4 dollar bill.

I totally understand what you're saying but i think it's just their way of showing their support to the team. It takes some kind of dedication to put on those costumes to go to every home games. |

+1 I have never sat by these guys, but I love to see them. OF COARSE our franchise is not defined by these guys, and we have arguably the most history of any franchise. BUT! Part of our history is having the self proclaimed "misfits & oddballs" and I feel the fans add to that mystique. Some of these fans I see on TV have had shown more dedication than some of our players in recent history. AND again i have never sat by these guys..soo i have no idea if their wasted/high etc. |

Meh, I can do without all of them. 
Sit by them and you will see what I am talking about. Kind of like that guy you invite over to the Super Bowl party that knows nothing about the game, just that the team is "badass". These jokers always talk about being long time fans. But when I ask them to name anyone on the 80 or 83 championship offensive lines not named Shell or Upshaw they look at me like I have a 3rd eye.
And for the record its easy: Mickey Marvin, Dave Dalby, Bruce Davis, Henry Lawrence, Charley Hannah.
And that is just off the top of the head without Google or any of that other crap.

Even Miami is going to update their dophin, it's time we updated "Randolph Scott", Al was a fan of his obviously making our logo in his image, dude was born in the 1800's, just like it was Al's time to go, the same applies to this outdated, tired @$$ logo. Make the move Mark. |
