I had a bad feeling since preseason when we lost Decastro and Spence that it was gonna be a bad year as far as injuries go. Just a gut feeling.
Do you think injuries can really be the blame for most of our woes all season long? I mean every game it seemed like somebody new went down.
We were snake bitten all year long and never could get any groove going. _________________

NO. every team deals with this. This team lost because of undisciplined players, poor coaching and high profile players not playing well. I didn't realy like watching this team outside of the first 3 games Adams was playing and they were averaging IIRC 5.7ypc. No pressure on qb's for most of the season doesn't help either. This team needs to clean house and restructure contracts.
Arians is in the playoffs with a rookie qb and on what was the worst team last year. Makes me reconsider what the problems were here. |

I'm not buying it. Yes, we had a lot of injuries but our 2nd and 3rd string guys came in and did well.
We were in every single game and had a chance to still win in the 4th quarter in every game we lost this season.
The first problem is the Rooney's forcing changes they think will "help". They got rid of Arians and wanted Todd Haley to come up with an offense that would reduce the amount of time Ben held the ball. So that's what Haley did but Ben wants to call his own plays. That's what all the mess about the play calling was about, it's not that Ben dislikes Haley, it's that Ben wants to be like the other elite QB's and run his own offense.
The team is going to have to let Ben call the plays or we're just going to continue this mess next season. |
