Next one up...
Here are the most recent questions asked...
| bluesfreak74 wrote: | Not sure if I should put this in here or the weight loss thread.
ever since HS where I wasn't forced to work out everyday, I've had trouble keeping up the motivation to keep working out more than a month or so. I would be doing good for a couple weeks or a month and then I just stop.
does anybody have tips to stay motivated and to burn myself out I guess you'd say? any workouts to start out that are "fun" and that I won't get tired of after a month.
TIA |
| JDLefebvre wrote: | Anyone take testosterone boosters?
Considering it. I am 37 and just seem to be tired a lot and just don't know if this is something that will help with seeing better results from working out.
What I've read about the side affects of taking boosters isn't good.
Also read that diet change can be more beneficial by eating lean meats, eggs, oysters...
Anyway, looking for any thoughts or suggestions on the matter. There are SOME old guys in here like me I believe! LOL |
| SteelKing728 wrote: | Since the last time I posted here, I asked what I should do to just lose a few pounds. That was to eat less and run more.
I've been doing that, and I feel better. I look better, if only a little bit, but apparently I haven't lost any weight?
Could that be muscle building up? I've really been trying to watch what I eat (not so many carbs) but jeez, idk.
I still want to lose like 10 to 15 pounds. |

Do you have a max day? Because that formula is nothing more than a guideline, basically.
However, if you can pull off 5 sets of 275 at 15-20 reps then I'm sure you could do it.
Are you trying to get bigger? If so you should less reps and pack a lot more weight on.
I don't think I've ever done squats at anything over 10 reps. _________________

no i wasn't doing 15 reps of that lol. i'm saying i do 5 reps a set, and that was like my 4th set. i usually do 6 sets of 5. i go down if i have to (if i max out on the 5th set let's say).
and i know it's a guideline, but from my experience it's not too far off. _________________

Ahhhhhh ok. It sounded like you were doing 15-20 reps per set.
I was like..... WHY?
I love max day, especially for deads. _________________

I do 4 sets of 20 on everything I do. But it is low weight. Then each week, if you hit all your reps, you move up 10lbs and take off 2 reps. Sort of a progression deal. one the cycles complete move up 10lbs from your initial start point and repeat the cycle. _________________

Agreed. Whoever came up with the oatmeal and PB idea, I'd like to thank you. It's amazing and very filling. Very helpful in my dieting. I probably eat it 4 or 5 times a week for breakfast _________________
