Stop it.
Anderson is not afraid of Chael. _________________

Anderson Silva by 2nd round rear naked choke after Spider takes Chael's back after he turtles from getting hammered by Silva's on point striking. _________________

Reality: Silva 2nd Round KO
Perfect Scenario: Sonnen wins 1st round Arm-Triangle Choke. |

BTW, no chance it would happen. _________________

The UFC wants this to be competitive, and wants Sonnen to win this fight. Any excuse to get a final match in Rio, and to have the entire country of Brazil eyeballing the fight date and every headline/event during the lead-up to the fight.
A competitive fight or victory by Chael completes the validation of Sonnen, who they love, and gives Silva the first real competitive storyline of his career. They are milking the fact that the first match was unexpectedly competitive for the first 4 rounds, but Silva still obviously has his streak going. Since Silva/GSP and Silva/Jones will never happen, this has to be the way the UFC gets the most out of Silva's legacy.
Worst case scenario is any situation where Silva crushes Sonnen to the point that a re-match is out of the question. Even a DQ gives the re-match argument an out, however a dominant performance by Silva ends all such talk. Not only will it not make sense, but Silva would never continue to validate Sonnen with such an opportunity - Dana barely convinced Silva to give Sonnen this chance. _________________

As a hardcore MMA fan, I want Silva to destroy Chael and reaffirm his position as the G.O.A.T. and P4P kingpin. _________________

I just want Chael to take Silva down a bunch of times again so this damn Rib excuse goes away.
So many other guys took him down but it was the apparent rib injury that made his TDD so brutal vs Sonnen last time.
When is GSP coming back? Hurry up |

But what do you guys think the worst case is (outside of a bad stoppage or decision or a cut stopping the fight)? I'm thinking an early KO by Silva would be UFC's worst nightmare since the selling point is that Sonnen knows how to neutralize Silva.
Edit: Actually the WORST would be if Anderson decides to point fight. |
Worst case scenario is if the Anderson that fought Maia and Leites shows up. (which i have a hard time believe will happen tonight). |
The Leites fight was more on Leites than Silva, IMO. But yeah, that'd be a disaster. I think he's coming to finish though. |
For some reason the image of Leites laying on his back is the prevailing memory for fans from that snooze-fest but Leites wasn't laying on his back for the entirety of that fight. Leites also didn't dance or taunt during that fight.
I'd assign equal amounts of blame and if pushed - I'd probably assign more blame to the (clearly) more talented fighter of the two. _________________

Chael Sonnen is going to get f***** wrecked.
I hope that is the case. |

Silva is going to absolutely stomp Sonnen...I literally can't wait. You could tell while Anderson was keeping quiet he was steaming by the way he boiled over on conference call.
I'm predicting Chael's face will look like a bloody pumpkin by the end of this fight. _________________ 44 and 21 Once a Giant, always a Giant

I don't see why being a hardcore MMA fan leads you to want Anderson. You'll get your wish unfortunately _________________
