I hope people don't have the same expectations. Lochte may have surpassed him as best U.S. swimmer. _________________

Also, Stanford grad Bobby Bollier beat Michael Phelps in the 200 fly semifinals today.
Why does this matter to anyone?
Because I was friends with, and beat Bobby Bollier when we were 14 at a couple meets.
By the transitive property, we can reasonably conclude that:
rams > Bobby Bolier > MICHAEL FREAKING PHELPS

The only sport I might go watch is the sailing in Weymouth,I don't think that will be great to watch but it will be a good atmosphere. _________________

Anyways, what are you guys most excited for? |
Greatest athlete ever = Oregon Duck? Oh yeah, I can live with that. His HS was also in the same conference as mine.
I raced Ryan Bailey (100 meter runner that's going to the Olympics) once in indoor track. Dude smoked me in the 200. _________________

I'm hoping Natalie Coughlin qualifies in the 100m free because I want to see her have a swan song. Not go out in in qualifying. Overshadowed by Phelps, but has been one of the best women athletes and swimmer in general ever in the olympics.
Also looking forward to see if Misty May and Kerri Walsh can complete the comeback with a 3rd straight gold.
I'm a softy for veterans and going out on top.
Only bright spot of no job right now. I can veg in front of the TV and watch hours of the olympics. _________________

Watched some USA Olympic Qualifiers on Friday I think. The atmosphere in the stadiums were really amazing. Got to say, I did not expect that for this type of events. _________________

Usain Bolt lost in the Jamaican Track champs 100m final, and it was not to Asafa Powell.
It is entirely feasible that Jamaica could have a clean sweep of the mens Podium in the 100m. Would be the first time since;
•1912
GOLD Ralph Craig, USA 10.8
SILVER Alvah Meyer, USA 10.9
BRONZE Donald Lippincott, USA 10.9
That a single nation swept the podium in the 100m at the Olympics.
| Quote: | | Yohan Blake ran the fourth-fastest 100-meter dash in history, crossing the line in 9.75 seconds. Bolt was a relatively paced 9.86, taking second. Fellow 2008 Olympian Asafa Powell was just behind Bolt, taking third in 9.88. |
Those times in 2008 (If you remove Bolt and include this time) would have recorded a 1-2-3 finish for Jamaica. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

| Blake beats out Bolt again in the 200m finals, his car accident might be having more of an effect on his racing than I thought. |

It's amazing how a gold medalist not even a century ago would now be a slow leg on some (albeit very few) high school 4x1s. |

Congrats to Missy Franklin for qualifying for 7 events this summer. Used to be on the same swim team albeit a few years apart, she was a giant then too. _________________
