Damn. I love the Cardinals, and I love being a fan. Let the other people hate, they're just jealous of our success, and I love that hate. _________________

If we do win the WS again, I'm just going to laugh because Albert is sitting at home on the couch, and he could have been on another WS Championship team.
Oh well, though! _________________

That game was ridiculous! Pete mother Effing Kozma!
Being a Cardinal fan = greatest thing ever. I love the hate from other teams, if they were in our position, they would be saying the same thing as us!

Whether you are a Cardinals fan or not (I am) you have to love what just happened. That's the beauty of baseball. Keep fighting, keep grinding out at bats, do the little things, and you always have a chance. This team exemplifies all of those qualities 100%. _________________

Oh you know if it was the Brewers there'd already be a poll asking if it was the greatest game anyone has ever seen.
But its the cardinals, so we have to hear about Luck, infield fly rule, and how the series would of been different if Stras pitched.
Next series scares me. Giants are Damn good. |

So got home from work early to watch the game yesterday. I had to go to dinner with the wife, brother-in-law and his wife. We left five minutes before the delay started...
It turned into a long-dinner. Go home and flipped on the TV to see that the game was just getting resumed...
Finally, a rain delay that worked in my favor... _________________

Does anybody else see Rosenthal as a potential future closer? I don't even want to mess with him by throwing him in the rotation. 100 MPH fastball, 82 MPH 12-6? That's nasty.
Where was his velocity sitting when he was in the rotation? _________________

Worked 26 days in a row...last Cardinals game I got to see was before the playoffs even started. So happy I got to watch them beat up on the Giants, especially since I was surrounded by Giants fans! _________________

Probably not exactly what you're looking for, but Derrick Goold talks about Rosenthal and his velocity in this article:
http://m.stltoday.com/STL/db_295074/contentdetail.htm?contentguid=aOfQ6IXv&full=true#display
Most relevant quote:
| Quote: | The righty from Lee's Summit, Mo., zoomed through the system as his frame filled out, he gained command of his fastball, and he flashed secondary pitches. Thirteen months ago he was hitting the high 90s mph late in a playoff start for Low-A Quad Cities. He started this year in the Class AA rotation, and he'll finish it as a playoff sensation. In the decisive Game 5 of the National League division series, Rosenthal retired all three batters he faced, buying time for the Cardinals' eventual rally. He struck out All-Star Ryan Zimmerman on four pitches, not one of which was less than 100 mph.
He said that he hit 101 mph for the first time this past season during a start, but the relief role has allowed him to tap into the velocity more frequently. |

He'll be in the rotation at some point. He's been groomed as a starter...
He can easily hit 97-98 consistently as a starter from what I've heard/read... _________________
