Not good news surronding Chris Carpenter. Apparently he was scratched from his simulated start because of weakness in the shoulder. His return date (if any) is up in the air...
He was only 5 days away from beginning rehab starts...

Is he (realistically) coming back this year at all?

Honestly, I'm extremely pessimistic regarding he and Jaime Garcia's return this year. Shoulder injuries are nothing to sneeze about, and I think the Cardinals would be wise to shut him down for the year. As for Carpenter, this doesn't sound good either.

I think we see Carp back before the end of the season, I'm not so sure about Jaime, Heck I'm not even to optimistic that we see him next season. Which sucks because even if he is a nutcase, he had some filthy stuff.
Praying Lynn avoids the dead arm like Kmac developed last year. If that happens, we are screwed. |

Id actually want us to explore Greinke but I doubt it happens. I wouldn't trade Tavares though.
