No movies NEED to be made.
Its a sequel to a popular movie. Obviously, they arent always good ideas, but its funny how people think they know what movies should and shouldnt be made. |

Pretty much my thoughts.
I bought the movie when i saw it for a dollar at a blockbuster going out of business sale. I've watched it about 3-4 times. Fun movie. Great action with some suspense.
But at the same time, a sequel for this doesn't make a lot of sense. I guess it's because it doesn't sound believable. What are the chances something like that would happen twice? Or that anyone intentionally target anyone of Liam Neeson's family?
Anywho, i'm sure i'll see it at some point from Redbox.

Taken was cool, but I will always remember it for that embarrassing scene in the start where he tells his daughter at the restaurant that she can't go. Her reaction is something out of Mad TV.

I just saw the trailer for this the other day. It looks like it's going to be horrible, but I might just end up watching it. First one turned out to be a great, unexpected action flick, just not sure it warranted a sequel.
We'll see how this goes, but when I saw him giving another 'speech' on the phone in the trailer for this new film, I was pretty much convinced there was no way this could be remotely good.

Loved the first one, but I don't think it's the type of movie that needed a sequel. Really a shame. I think they're going to take a movie that I really loved and turn it into a money-hungry fail attempt.
The Youtube comments are funnier than anything.

Just watched the trailer. Looks pretty bad. Is that even the same mom from #1?

Nah, I think you have to factor in the era of film that we live in. Meaning there can only be one possibility for a 3rd movie...
