oh, so you never actually watched him play.

Folks, this is what exclusively looking at stats will do to you.

I'd be shocked if he nets anything higher than a 3rd personally. He's a good #2 but that's about it and he's going to want a new contract so that lowers his value as well.

Nice offer...

TE Fred Davis
QB Kirk Cousins (Ponder type player)
for
WR Percy Harvin
QB Joe Webb (RG3 type of player with needed work)

this is so far from a nice offer Laughing a TE is the last thing we need.

He arguably one of the top 2 or 3 best slot receivers in the game. He can lineup in the backfield. He returns kicks at an elite level and he's only 24 years old. The migraine issues are overblown and he's only missed 3 games in 3 years. Harvin is worth much more than a 3rd.

Wouldn't give up Webb by himself for Cousins and Davis. Laughing

The thing that worries me is that Harvin is the type of player that Bill Belichick picks up for next to nothing, and the guy turns into an elite talent and model citizen in New England.

And I have almost zero confidence in Rick Spielman to get anything resembling full value for Percy if he does force a trade.

Sad

He's a WR who has yet to break 1000 yards in a season and has averaged less than 6 TDs a season since he came into the league.

He's not worth "much more than a 3rd" when you consider this and the fact that he's going to want a lot more money.

Last year was his best year yet. Almost cracked 1000 yards receiving and had over 350 rushing. 8 total touchdowns.

He's legit. You're just not paying attention.

Hasn't he been migraine free since 2010? The Vikings didn't use him last season as much as they should have. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong Viking fans.

Thats what I thought as well. I think it was something related to sleep apnea which was corrected and helped greatly with the migraines.

What is so terrible about it?

Fred Davis
One the most dangerous TE's in the game and an up & coming star
Suspended 4 games for smoking dope last season before lockout
under franchise tag

Harvin
Great player who has migraine problems, that also affect his playing time and availability.
Wants to be traded

Kirk Cousins
rookie who had a great college career and slid to the 4th rd.
Wants and believes he can start right away but won't in D.C.
Very similar to Christian Ponder....

Joe Webb
WR turned QB who was a 6th rd pick.
Still learning the job, but has RG3 like playing ability, yet raw.

Yea...dumb trade.
Doesn't make since at all... Razz

It is dumb when you consider who the Vikings have at TE already. Although even if they had no one at TE, it would still be a bad trade for them...

Exactly. We already have an up and commer in Roudolph. Also, our depth at WR too bad to not get another WR in the trade. And why would we trade for another QB before even giving the one we drafted a year ago, a shot?

Belichick supposedly wanted to draft Percy Harvin in the first round out of Florida, and traded back when the Vikings picked him up first. I remember Childress was bragging about how he "beat Belichick" to the media after it happened.

Harvin will get over himself and get back with the program. He's used to being able to throw a tantrum and get what he wants. Ever since his Florida days, getting coddled by Urban Meyer, or getting all that 5-star attention. No one is gonna both trade for him and give him the big contract he wants.

Get on the phone Rick Smith!

I want him as a Texan bad! Particularly because he is my favorite player in the NFL, and we have a need for a veteran WR. Only thing concerns me is his injury history, but our offense would be deadly if he can stay healthy.

RB: Foster, Tate
WR: Johnson, Harvin, Walter, Jean, Posey, Martin
TE: Daniels
FB/TE: Casey

Get it done!
