Use to be a Laker fan so I know how tremendous an owner and figure he was to the Lakers and the community. He brought courtside seats and Showtime to the NBA while being so humble and caring.

Brady's extension is just $27M over 3 years and clears up $15M in cap space over the next two years. You have to respect a guy who puts the team before himself like that. Its really sad how rarely you see that in professional sports. Players are happy with their $XM deal until player Y gets more money.

Yeah.... don't buy the media. This was an accounting move. He didn't do anything but move money around.
He didn't take a pay cut. Same money, different structure.
