Alright. So I'm already sick of the "Is Peyton able to take a hit?" And "Harrison is gonna hurt him." First, if he says he has no worry about that then why should we. Second, If the dude couldn't throw 50-60 yard bombs to DT and Decker I would understand be he can. Also Manning in his 7 throws looked better than our mediocre offense in the past 10 years. Just saying between other fans and my buddies that think Manning is "Fragile" give me a break the guy wouldn't be throw a couple hundred times a day.

Like I said, I cant think of a single time that Peyton has gotten clobbered like most QBs. He sees it coming and gets down quickly. _________________

Vladmir Ducasse is awful jonny!
I think we need to calm down about the interior OL stuff. My first reaction when watching the game was the same as all of you, but a couple of our backup interior Lineman played ok against the Bears. Both Manny Ramirez and CJ Davis graded out well in my opinion. Tony Hills and Adam Grant were borderline awful, but they aren't going to make this team.
My bigger issue is our swing Tackle being a poor backup at best. I know he has had very few reps, but I would like to see Mike Remmers given a shot at RT with the 2's on Saturday. He graded out much, much better than Adam Grant against the Bears. You can see Remmers is limited by his arm length, but he can't be a worse option than Grant at this point. _________________ 20 TIMES, 20 TIMES MAN UNITTTTTEEDDD

Yeah I was just thinking off the top of my head, I honestly haven't seen Vlad since many of us wanted to draft him.
Anyone think we should pickup Jeff Demps? Goodness knows we could use a return specialist. _________________

I can only think of a few blindside hits.

I dont think he'll come here. he's going to pick a team probably on the thinner side of RB. Though i alwasys have preferred Demps to Rainey.
And Ducasse is awful. Didnt like him predraft and is bad as expected. _________________

I hear you 100000000000000000%
I get so sick and tired of having to hear friends of mine say things like, "oh just wait until Peyton gets hit," and when I tell them that a cadre of neurologists and other medical specialists have stated time and time and time and time and time and time again that Peyton is as healthy as possible and that he's at no greater risk of injury than any other player on the field they say, "sure that's what they say" as if said professionals are taking out their a$$ or something. _________________ big_palooka:

| I haven't been able to pay as close attention to training camp as I would like, but how has Omar Bolden looked in both camp and the preseason game? I believe he did some kick/punt returning in college, has he been used any in that role? |

Be easier to take you serious without that comment. Cutler, Marshal, Royal were fire that final year w/ Shanahan. Absolute fire. _________________

No, they weren't. And isn't it funny that you didn't say this stuff at the time? _________________ 20 TIMES, 20 TIMES MAN UNITTTTTEEDDD

I've watched him a lot because I think he has sky-high potential; he was my favorite pick of the last draft. What I see is a player who is still learning but has the talent to be a starting CB in the NFL. He's physical, uses good technique and has good instincts. He shadows Champ and the other veterans and is frequently in the ear of JDR and DBs coach Ron Milus. He's probably going to be the #5 CB (behind Champ, Porter, Florence and Harris) but he's part of our now stunning secondary depth.
In all the practices I've been too, I have not once seen the team practice a full-speed KR drill.

I don't know if I would call it "absolute fire" but it was the most dynamic offense we had in the 2008-2011 period. The 2009-10 Mac/Orton dink-and-dunk offense was a joke and last year's Tebow option offense was just flat out embarrassing to watch. _________________ big_palooka:

We'll know soon enough. I too am tired of all the arguing over it. Anytime you have multiple surgeries on your vertebra it's hard not to be concerned, but surgeons know more than I do. I think for sure by the time we finish up with Houston we'll have a pretty definitive answer. |

We went 8-8 with Cutler that year not saying it was his fault since our D was terrrrrrible but our team was never "fire" after that year _________________

Jason Hunter is done for the year after tearing his triceps. Well it's down to Ayers or Wolfe....
As for the RB debate
1) Willis - Runs hard, with great vision, and outstanding balance.
2) Xavier Omon - One cut, get up the field, always finishes going forward.
3) Knowshon - Can catch, block, and when he runs hard he makes one cut and gets up the field.
4) Hillman - by default
5) Ball - He will get you 3 to 4 yards a carry, not flashy, but consistent
6) Johnson - I expect more from this cat, He has talent, but is unremarkable in any aspect of the game. |
