|

|
Last year we had a few players that kinda surprised us all. Dez Briscoe led the team in receiving TD's last year and had 35 receptions. And defensively, rookie Adrian Clayborn put up a solid 7.5 sack season. To me, Briscoe was the biggest surprise in our crap of a season.
With that said, who do you think will surprise some folks and have a quiet/good year?
I'm a go with........
I really feel like as the third safety he is going to make splash plays in coverage when we move to dime packages. Wouldn't shock me one bit if he came away with 4-5 INT's next year with around 40-50 tackles as a 3rd safety.
Other candidates:
Rejus Benn WR
Luke Stocker TE
Amobi Okoye DT
Mason Foster(plays at top 10 level MLB)

-Rejus starts opposite V-Jax and has 800 yards and 6 TDs.
-McCoy starts all 16 games and has 7 sacks. _________________

Your prediction on Rejus I find really interesting. I love Mike Williams and what he did his rookie year. Im rooting for him to get back to rookie form cuz I dont want him to turn into a Clayton cuz he seems to care and wants to work.. but he still can get off the jam? Its early yes but he very well might be best in slot with no one jamming him. He definitely has the size to play slot. With that said I think Benn is deceptively fast and pretty strong. He very well could be the starting #2 and I definitely could see him putting up excellent numbers.
I like the Ahmad Black prediction. I agree with it. He loves the Bucs and has always had to overcome his size and stuff but he has done it. He has the will to win and succeed. He is a ballhawk and I could definitely see him making some splash plays this offseason.
Doug Martin rushes for 1200+ yards.
Mark Barron wins DROY
Adrian Clayborn gets 14+ sacks (maybe not a surprise but thats a big leap from 7.5)
The above are more predictions but I do think they would be a bit surprising, in a good way, if any of them came true. _________________

| I think Lavonte David wins Defensive Rookie of the Year and contributes in every stat column for us. As far as offense goes, I think LeGarrette Blount has a lot to prove and will not hand the job over to Doug Martin. Big year for Blount. |

We said bold, not "Ryan Leaf makes a comeback, Vernon Gholston gets 20 sacks" kinda dumb.
JOSH FREEMAN. The man throws 35 touchdowns and doesn't suck. _________________

VERN GHOLSTON! Good call! He's rested.... he's ready.... and still in search of that elusive first sack! A fresh start in Tampa? This could be the year! |

I'm surprised no one said Preston Parker yet. I think that he finds his niche as a slot receiver and gives us a poor (emphasis on poor) version of Wes Welker. so Kevin Curtis before he left Philly _________________

| SappDaddyDance I really like that pick. Josh Freeman seems to have a lot of trust with Parker and it shows up on those 3rd downs where we need someone to step up and move the chains. I hope he plays well this year and doesn't get lost behind Jackson, Benn and Williams(maybe Briscoe too?). |
