Doesn't make any sense...Urlacher has never played TE, even in college...he is now 34yrs old and is in no way ready to be trying to move to a position he's never played.
Melton has played RB...what's wrong with seeing him line up 4-5 times during the season in goal line running situations? |
He has at least one time and he caught a TD on it. It's the 3:15 mark.

He was elgible on punt team..Maynard threw that too him...that's not playing TE. And the comparison isn't close, Melton played all of HS and two years at Texas as an RB.
But cool video...the highlights were awesome! Dang I can't wait for football to start up for real. |
I wasn't comparing him, but you said he never did which is wrong he still chip blocked then ran a route which is part of what a TE does on most passing play it doesn't matter if it was on STs or not. And on top of it he did play WR in high school and college.

| The staff is looking at Melton at FB because they may not keep a true FB on the roster. If that's the case, they need to consider the h-backs as well as alternative options as lead blockers. |
