Robinson played LCB all game, with Cook at RCB. That is how I like it.
Josh Robinson is starting to look like in absolute steal in the 3rd round. Before the Draft he was projected as a high-2nd round pick by most people. _________________

Good observation. Might be one of those things we see on game day. Each CB could take a different side depending upon the opponent and how they prefer to align there WRs.
I was a big fan of Robinson and I am glad he fell to MN in round 3. He does look like one of the steals of the draft, he is a complete CB with decent ball skills. |

Looks like Robinson has really stepped up. |

Winfield came on in the nickel and still saw considerable snaps the rest of the game. Winfield said it wasn't because of a swollen knee.
Winfield: "Joe Woods came to me this week and said they're going to try to roll Josh in some more and try to get him some experience. I'm cool with that. I've started 14 years in this league. I'm not worried about that. It helps me."

Seems like an extremely goal-oriented and likable person. That is always good to see. _________________

One thing I noticed, and it is something I wish Cook would do more, is that Robinson uses the sideline. Use it as a 12th defender to make it harder for a quarterback to fit the ball in. Then again I say his speed might make it easier for Josh compared to a guy like Cook. _________________

Asked if Josh Robinson will now be the starter in the base, Frazier said: "I don't know that eventually will be the case in 2012. We know at some point, we're hoping at some point Josh develops to where he can be our starting corner. That's why we drafted him in the third round. When that transformation occurs, we're not sure."

Robinson is basically a starter in this defense, its just a matter of who gets more playing time Winfield vs Robinson. Eventually, Robinson should be the base CB, and I hope that to be the case keeping Winfield as the nickel and demoting him to 3rd CB.
I think its clear, Robinson has upside that Winfield doesnt have and I think Robinson is more dependable down field in coverage than Winfield at this point in time. |

He is signed through 2013, I wouldnt be shocked if he continues to play. Winfield is doing a good job in nickel. |

Josh Robinson has been on the field more than many anticipated and effectively switches out with Antoine Winfield and Chris Cook. In his first game as a pro vs. Jacksonville, he was on the field 48 percent of the time. In the three games that followed, he was on the field two-thirds of the time, including 76 percent of the defensive snaps against Detroit in Week 4. Robinson has quickly gone from being a nickel back type to being a player the Vikings defense is counting on.
