Gilbride also said good things about this guy.... Brandon Collins.

Former Texas Longhorn. Put up huge numbers at his proday, including a 45 inch vert. But i'm skeptical of undersized receivers looking good in non contact practices, primarily because of Sinorice Moss.

Understandable but...did you say 45 inch vert???

If that's true, he's a KEEPER in my book. Would definitely make up for being undersized.

The more I read the offseason rankings of various sports writers, the angrier I get.

They keep listing the loss of Brandon Jacobs and Mario Manningham like they were key starters on the team. Lets be honest, they were our backups and losing them isnt that big of a deal.

I miss both of them, but you are correct. The Jets, Cowboys, and Eagles will always be the media darlings, but when push comes to shove the Giants will be the last team standing.

The Cowboys lost Laurent Robinson, and I don't even know who they have at WR beyond Austin and Bryant. And yet I don't hear that loss brought up as often as Manningham.

And if David Wilson isn't an immediate upgrade over Jacobs, that will be a major shock to me personally. Inexperienced? Sure. But hearing Gilbride gush over a player is very rare. He even seems hesistant to compliment Cruz from some of the interviews I hear. And yet he was gushing about Wilson's athleticism. I'm drafting him in the next round of our keeper league, so get him before then if you want him.

Deon Grant expects to re-sign with G-Men

Quote:
Free agent S Deon Grant believes the Giants will re-sign him during training camp.
A key cog in New York's oft-used three-safety looks a year ago, Grant isn't ready to retire after 12 seasons and it sounds like he's willing to play for close to the veteran's minimum. Grant played a whopping 79.9 percent of the Giants' defensive snaps in 2011, primarily because they didn't have a nickel corner.

I'm good with that, but I think one of our LBs would have to be cut to make room for him for a few reasons.

1. We have too many LBs on the roster.

2. It would mean we will be relying still on more 3 safety formations.

It begins...let's hope it's not serious.

Been waiting to tweet this, per my new policy of being patient w/ injury updates, but Terrell Thomas is walking off w/ back issue. #nyg

Probably just back spasms or something. No need to panic yet

Latest report was he was back on the field but just watched from the sideline.

Prince made some plays from what I hear:

Prince picks off an overthrown ball from Carr to Randle. Gets an escort from Fewell as his lead blocker during the return. #nyg
