Will post link soon... Any thoughts?

UPDATE:

http://espn.go.com/dallas/nfl/story/_/id/7955613/mike-jenkins-dallas-cowboys-seeks-trade-skip-otas-sources-say

Guess he's showing his true colors, skipping minicamp OTA's and wanting a new contract. I really wished that we could have got a 2-3 round pick for him.

It won't happen. He's coming off a serious shoulder injury & wouldn't bring us more than a 6th round pick. Jerry won't trade him for that. His best option is to come to camp ready to compete & earn a bigger deal as a free agent next year.

Right now Jenkins is having a pity party for himself. If he thinks that little of himself that he cannot compete with a rookie and a FA after the fact that the Cowboys organization drafted him in the first round, then I only have 1 thing to say to him. Get the Frog out! See ya, you little wuss. I'd take a used ball bag for a player that was drafted with such high expectations and produced so little result... crying like a little girl. Makes me sick!

Yeah but it's like he thinks that he should be ENTITLED to one of the starting CB's spot. I'm glad Garrett is here because it's looking like the culture is really changing in BIG D

I know, go out there and SHOW the Cowboys that you should be here... at LEAST try to beat out Scandrick for the #3 spot smh...

here's an article JTT wrote on espndallas pretty much ripping Jenkins for doing this, saying what us and a lot of other fans are saying

Hopefully Garrett tells Jenkins that he didn't whine about him being injured all the time, or the point where he got a pass interference penalty per game, so shut up, and stop believing what your agent feeds you. If you actually go out and perform, hmm it would increase your trade value, and and increase the contract that you will get.

No TRADE. He's only costing us 1 million. He's a descent option if our starters get hurt.

I've supported holding on to Jenkins throughout this off season, not sure I can or want to any longer. If he wants to be traded, trade him. I'm fairly confident he won't re-sign and may as well get something for him before he walks away for free.

Can't say that I am surprised given the fragile psyche of most athletes today. Go out and have a good season and increase your market value that way. That's a diplomatic way of saying shut the @#$% up, stop whining, and go out and play.

I can't see him going anywhere soon. You need corners in today's game.

This is honestly pretty ridiculous. First of all, in a pass happy league, we will be using 3 or 4 cornerbacks per play, and he will for sure get playing time that way. Second, if you are in the NFL, you are a competitor. Whether your competing against another team, or within the organization, you are a fiery competitor. But for whatever reason, Jenkins does not want to fight for his job. Its like he has already given up all hope. How about you go out there and prove to everyone that you are the better cornerback? If you think you are worthy of getting traded or signing a big deal, then you should be able to prove that you are the pro-bowl Mike Jenkins that we all know is there.

Like I said months ago, going after Claiborne sends a terrible message to Jenkins and it can be poisonous to a locker room. The message is that we're going to keep him on the team even though he's unwanted. So his asking for a trade is not inappropriate. He's making a business decision for himself just as the Cowboys made one. Why should anyone fault him for that?

While I agree 100%, he is also making a business decision by not showing up and at least working with the team. Like TO7 said I believe, work your butt off and either prove your worth to the Cowboys or the 31 other teams in the league.

I don't fault him for wanting a trade, but I do fault him for not showing up (voluntary or not).

This. If he really wants a trade, he makes it more likely one will happen by working instead of sulking. It's really no different than Gregg Ellis after Spencer was drafted.

While I understand how you feel, and even feel this way a little myself, I think we have to hold on to him. Who is our 3rd or 4th if we dump him? Scandrick is ok in the slot, but not really outside. What if Carr or Mo gets hurt? We would be screwed all over AGAIN, like in years past. We HAVE to have depth at the CB spot. Personally, I think Mike could beat out Scandrick for the 3rd spot and end up playing A LOT, if he would just suck it up and get with it. I understand why he's upset, and this does kind of screw his chances for a big payday next year, but sittin' around whining will only hurt him worse.
