With the 109th overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks select:
North Carolina DT Sylvester Williams
Note: We already have Brandon Mebane but Pete likes to have an abundance of defensive linemen that can come in keep everyone fresh. Sylvester Williams is a big NT type with really violent hands at the line of scrimmage, a good nose for the football, and a surprising array of pass rushing moves for a man of his stature. Williams is the type of big bodied player that cannot only stop the run, but can actually be a force rushing the passer. He has played as a 34 NT at UNC and a 43 UT just showing how versatile he is. We love to bring him to Seattle. _________________

With the 112th pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers select...
Khaseem Greene, OLB/S, Rutgers
Greene played safety his first two collegiate seasons before moving to outside linebacker as a junior. The move payed off for Rutgers as Greene used his speed to fly around the field and make tackles. In 2011 he led the team with 141 tackles, 14.5 tackles for a loss, 3.5 sacks and two forced fumbles. Greene had 77 tackles and two interceptions as a sophomore. For the NFL, Greene may have to move back to safety if he is unable to add more weight. _________________

with the 117th pick the New Orleans Saints select Damian Square DE/DT Alabama
This is the second D-lineman that the Saints have drafted in their 3 picks. The Saints love Square versitility to play inside or at LE. He can play LE on run downs and then move inside and rush the passer from a DT position. They have 3 DT's they like in Ellis, Bunkley and Hicks but none of them offer much in the way of pass rush. Square can give them that inside pressure. |

With the 118th pick, Chiefs select:
Tom Wort, ILB, Oklahoma
The English Star is going to be considered a 1st round talent come next season, once a Raider fan that will be playing them twice a season. Total steal and completes the Chiefs LB Corp turning them into a form of nasty that can compete with any in the league. _________________

With the something pick in the 2013 NFL Draft...
...the Cincinnati Bengals select:
Justin Gilbert - CB - Oklahoma State
| SaveOurSonics Mom, since Anonymous' fingers were a little busy, wrote: | | Although CB was not a particularly huge need for the Bengals, we could not let Gilbert slide anymore and risk losing the opportunity to select him. In our eyes Gilbert is a fringe first round prospect, who could become a top twenty pick when it's all said and done. He had his downs last year, but shows a lot of promise and even picked off all three QBs that were taken in the top 10 in 2012. He's already a dynamic return man and as he continues to lean the CB position, which he did not play until coming to OKST, he can become a dynamic defensive player. |
