Yeah. Browner ran what...a 4.63 at the combine? I wouldn't sweat Banks' combine 40 time much. He's a big CB with some natural skills and seems to play fast enough on tape. I'd welcome him still.

It has nothing to do with his combine performance. His tape didn't live up to expectations when I went back to look at it.

Also, I don't think Caldwell in Indy and Atlanta, and Seattle during Bradley's tenure, ever drafted a CB high.

1st - Dee Milliner DB Bama
2nd - Teron Armstead RT Ark-Pine Bluff
3rd - Brandon Jenkins - LEO FSU
4th - Stepfan Taylor RB Stanford
5th - Matt Scott QB Arizona
6th - Michael Clay OLB Oregon
7th - Demontre Hurst DB Oklahoma

Just something different I wanted to post while I'm bored in class. Figured if we don't get a LEO at the first pick (which I believe we will actually take Mingo), that means Branch will be the LEO for the future. I picked Jenkins in the 3rd because I feel as if it didn't work out with Branch it would give him time to learn the role. Mathis will be gone, and I believe Cox will be gone as well, hence the reason I selected Dee. But it's a meh mock. Just bored. Tell me what ya think about it.

I think plan is to take a LEO at #2 and let him and Branch develop behind Babin for a year or two then have them be our two main LEOs heading forward or our OLBs in a 3-4. I wouldn't hate Dee, per se, but I have Xavier Rhodes rated over him and I'm not sure Dee is a first year starter.

I like Armstead as long as we have a stopgap RT. Armstead can play some TE like Guy did for us so he'd probably be an immediate contributor in that sense.

I hate Jenkins. Injury, character, talent. All three are concerns to me.

I like Taylor a lot but don't know if he'll last that long.

I think Scott is a guy we may take late as a developmental QB. As far as round 5+ goes he's a pretty good selection.

Not big on Clay or Hurst but I won't harp on 6th or 7th round picks much.

Couple things:

1. Is Millner really worth the #2 pick?
2. Is Armstead physical enough to play RT?
3. I hate Jenkins, it wasnt a question, just a statement Laughing

The first 2 were more inquisitive than statements of them being bad picks

I think Dee is worthy. Not to mention Caldwell isn't drafting BAP nearly as much as he is for need. So I would say its going to be a need. My thought process is (being from Memphis), I see Derek Cox as a Rudy Gay. Good player but not for the system or the money it would cost to keep him. I see Derek Cox not being on the team within 2 years.

We have players to play the LEO position on this team and there are reports (someone posted a tweet in either this thread or another) that there are plenty of players in this draft that fit our mold. I don't think it's as big of a need than a starting corner especially with the way the game has changed.

RT IMO is our biggest need but I don't think there is a player in the top of the draft that will pan out as being worth it. I think Terron can be good for our scheme and position.

Other than attitude I don't know why people don't like Jenkins. He is a great pass rusher that will need time to develop more of his game. I'd rather take an explosive player in the 3rd than a career backup. Which I think the majority of the others would be.

I just don't know if I'm sold on Dee as a top 3 pick.

Dee isn't worth a top 5 pick.

We can find CB's that fit the mold we're looking for later in the Draft. Look where the Seahawks got Sherman and Browner.

I'm scared of Alabama CB's anyway.

I think that is a great way to put it. I feel since the draft is deep at DE/LEO we could get one later though. I honestly dont see anyone i really want at 2 other than Geno

Horrible trade with the Bills. The Redskins traded 3first rounders and a second rounder, moved up 2 less spots, and got the second rated QB prospect last year. The Bills would be drilling us if we made that initial trade.

Disagree.

There's no RGIII sitting there at #2 this year. If there were, we'd be grabbing him ourselves, or we'd be demanding that sort of kings ransom. But we're not going to get 3 first rounders to move back a few spots and probably still get the same guy we'd want at #2 anyway in this draft with a weak top-5. A trade-back scenario is the best case for us and if the Bills want to give up a 2nd and next year's 3rd to move up a bit, i'd love to let them.

In this draft, having two high 2nds and a decently high 1st...we'd be getting 3 'first round talents'. That would be huge in setting this team up for the future.

I get what you're saying, but seriously you gotta know Geno is no RGIII. We're desperate, but I hope we're not that desperate that we'd match the Redskins trade! It just isn't the same value player-wise.
