He's doing a lot better than most of us think. He was used as a 6th offensive lineman for the early part of the season and is doing well now that the QB is willing to pass in the middle of the field and take risks. There were plenty of times when Lewis was wide open on a levels route concept and Gabbert would pass to the lower route. I'm not sure of the situations that happened on or if Gabbert was being asked to read low to high, but he has had Lewis open plenty of times for a nice gain, even when it isn't a levels play. |
He also routinely drops passes. He is the epitome of inconsistent. _________________

Only 4 drops this season. That isn't routine. _________________

I'm just ready for the off-season to get here.
Anybody have a list of our UFA's? _________________

Honestly, I only keep Daryl Smith, Greg Jones, and Terrance Knighton. Let the rest walk. _________________

I'm fed up with Derek and his soft tissue injuries. He can go. _________________

Cox needs to get healthy and prove he can stay healthy. If we can keep him for a decent price, that's fine. But we shouldn't open the wallet for a player who barely plays. _________________

Just think Terrance and his down in performance is he is getting lazy/fed up with a losing team and has mailed it in. _________________

I think we can get a few of them on bargain deals (like Knighton and Cox though I expect Knighton to sign elsewhere and Cox to stay) and should retain a few of the RFAs. I could see us letting guys like Daryl, Rashean, and even Greg Jones go due to age/health. Though, I could see them coming back on short term and/or bargain deals as well. _________________

I'd like to see some of those guys in teal next season, but I honestly don't expect any of the back. The new regime will want their guys and I could see them not resigning any of these players. Cox is the only one I definitely want back in teal. _________________

Yeah. Chick shouldn't cost much and he's useful as depth if nothing else. D.Smith and D.Cox are worth keeping around as well.
Knighton seems to have checked out, and i doubt he'll even be interested in returning at this point, even if we wanted to keep him.
As for the rest, it really doesn't matter. We'll still need depth guys next year and if some of the guys come cheap, it wouldn't be terrible to keep some guys around. But we could probably do better on most. |

| I would personally like to see Shipley back. But I'm probably a little biased when it comes to that. |
