pathetic...we need a new OC and also need a new qb
I thought our game management with a lead was poor but apparently thats the same offense we use when we are losing as well...absolutely pathetic showing on offense |

As badly as I'd like a new QB for next year, 2013 is very suspect and would be a reach. I love Geno Smith and what he brings, but the offense he comes out of is a bit concerning.
Honestly, if we look for a QB next year, trading for Mallet is the best option. |

I really don't like any of the QBs coming out so I hope we don't pick one early this year.
Alex Smith managed to turn into a decent QB after his 20,000th chance so I don't want to reach on a QB in this class. Freeman did look fairly hopeless this week though.
could always trade for Tebow |

The difference between Freeman and Alex smith are completely oppositte. Alex Smith was always decent, but had to learn a new offense from a clue-less coach year after year.
Freeman has had some change, but his flaws are still not being corrected, which is bad because he apparently lives in the film room. |

I'm on board with this statement, I want Sullivan gone and maybe Freeman too. I love Freeman's work ethic, but he just can't seem to grab a hold of the game. 39 yards up until the last drive is just pathetic. I'm not too impressed with anybody in the draft. So I think trade for Mallet like R&P or, get this, trade for Tim Tebow. Think about it, there's something in his DNA that allows him to win some big games. And he's a ticket seller. He's at least worth a shot. He can't be any worse than Freeman. _________________

Seriously, Alex Smith was horrible for his first six years in the league. The only year he was adequate before Harbaugh was when Norv Turnver was his OC.
I get the anti-Freeman sentiment, but let's face it his coaches have been less then stellar also. Jagodzinski (however, you spell it), Olson, and Van Pelt, not exactly the top tier of offensive minds. If you are giving Smith a little slack because of poor coaching, certainly Freeman hasn't received any better in prior years. |
