I'm not saying he'll be better than Richardson but the guy is taking an awful lot of hate on this forum in general.
For this thread yeah, it's Richardson because he'll be the guy from day one and in a better position to succeed. Down the line though I could see Wilson being the guy who could take the reins. Not because I'm a Giants fan (I'm speaking honestly) but because prior to the draft I was a true fan and was blown away. I've rarely seen a rawer RB prospect with such freakish athletic ability and toughness... fast, explosive, powerful and durable. I don't put any of the other RB's in this class on a level above him (truth).
Now that I've got that off my chest... let the David Wilson undervaluing commence. |
Wilson is a great talent who I think will end up being an excellent HB in NYG. We(The Rams) took him at Pick #33 in FFMDI because we thought extremely highly of him. But I don't see him being better than Richardson. _________________

Oh I've seen the play, he's was trying to make something from nothing. I was just laughing because you went out of your way to call him an idiot. That idiot still ended up with over 1,700 yards rushing and averaged about 6 YPC in 14 games played becoming the ACC player of the year despite that one play.
Just wondering why with all the other accolades he's accomplished this past year you cite only this play. Just from my observation, that is the definition of a being a hater. _________________ 44 and 21 Once a Giant, always a Giant

Yeah, I said Richardson too but I could see Wilson down the line giving him a run for his money. Richardson right now is just in a different situation. He'll be the face of that Browns franchise for years to come. _________________ 44 and 21 Once a Giant, always a Giant

I gotta go with the pick my Panthers made.
Wait... we didnt take a RB this year? Is there still time to trade back into the draft and take one? _________________

The Browns not only used the 3rd overall pick on Richardson, but moved up to do so. He better make the biggest impact.
That said, teams are going to have 8 in the box against Richardson because Cleveland's passing game will likely be a joke once again. Teams can't stack the box against the Giants. So it would surprise me at all David Wilson put up better numbers. _________________

David Wilson crazy run against Clemson
He also had that run. I'm not trying to justify the run he had against Michigan though. It comes from him trying to do too much. He needs to just take what he can get even if it means losing a few yards. He absolutely cannot do this in the NFL and I'm confident he won't.
It was super embarrassing, maybe the most embarrassing thing I've ever seen in football, and it came in the redzone, but you can't hold it against him. It doesn't define how he is as a player. |

I'm saying you can't say he sucks just because had one bad run. I don't think those two bolded statements contradict each other, if that's what you were getting at. |

In my feeble mind Leshoure didn't play last year so that makes him a rookie and my answer. _________________
