No contact, his eyes are closed and he's about to throw the football, I assure you, not every QB looks like that.

If Blaine Gabbert doesn't look scared in the piocket like only Jags fans insist, then who actually does? On an NFL level, his pocket presense was terrible last year. And it wasn't, then he must just suck at everything else.

This post seems to have been overlooked. Full of truth.

Like I said before...

ITT: We act like bad pocket presence = being scared in the pocket.

And that holds exactly 0 significance, because no matter how you choose to play the semantics, Gabbert sucks at it. Even if you want to say he doesn't look scared in the pocket, he still has atrocious pocket presence.

Thanks for reiterating my point, I guess?

I only argue the asinine notion that he is "scared." He isn't. His pocket presence was terrible last year. NO ONE is denying that. He showed some improvement though (not where he needs to be, but still, improvement) by the end of the year.

This thread title is misleading. It should be renamed "Will Gabbert take his first step."

He seems like a guy whose confidence is shot. He plays scared and there's really not much you can do about that. I think the Jags will be drafting a QB early next year.

In what world is closing your eyes at any point while throwing a pass a good thing? This is just one thing on a very long list items he needs to correct to become a decent QB.

How bad is Peyton Manning? Throwing the ball with his eyes closed!

It's funny that you pick one where Brady seems to be moving away, shielding the ball, clearly not about to throw.
