I'm gonna add Mark Streit next.
Then I'm leaning towards Vinny Lecavalier and Danny Heatley. _________________

Let me guess, Briere? A couple of years ago, he would have had no problem making this list. But as an overall player, I wouldn't rank him in the top 100 right now. It's the Robert Horry quandary. IMO, upping your game in the playoffs makes you more clutch, but not better overall. |

Just last year he would've easily made ANY top 100 list. He even made the all-star team, and while the whole thing is a gimmick, he was a deserving choice.
Nonetheless, his stats when it matters most speak volumes about him as a player, and I'd rather have a guy on my team that plays like a superstar in the playoffs than a fringe 1st liner like Pavelski or Neal. Just my opinion of course. _________________

You know what I mean, a few years ago, he'd be thought of as a top 30/40 player and his place on this list wouldn't even be in question.
I think he's the same guy he is in the regular season. Yes, he's clutch. Yes, he has great playoff series'. But it's almost it's own category. I mean, Stamkos has very little playoff experience, but I'd take him as a top 10 player in the NHL all day. Talbot is also a great player to have in the playoffs, but I'm not going to give him any bump either. |

I really didn't expect Byfuglien to be leading this one. _________________

Byufglien led Winnipeg in on-ice goals against per 60 minutes. His defense is poor and coverage pitiful. He has no business even being nominated at this stage.
Blue-liners I would take over him in a heartbeat include OEK, Girardi, Burns, Campbell, Boyle, Subban, and Bogosian. _________________

Streit just isn't that good anymore. He doesn't belong here. _________________

Agreed, any of the defenseman I listed in the above are substantially better. _________________

I like Burns a lot. The other guys you mentioned are good too. Girardi is criminally underrated. Can't believe he wasn't drafted. I like Del Zotto from that team as well.
What about a guy like Zajac? He's a nice two-way player that is shining in the playoffs right now. _________________
