Solid contributor, but just didn't make enough plays to warrant a roster spot. I'm going to miss his TD celebrations but it was time for a change.
Good luck to him. _________________

| Seemed like a really nice guy, probably great in the locker room but never learned how to run proper pass routes or catch consistently with his hands. |

Jones was the Steve Slaton of WRs for us. Its time we find a Foster to replace him there.. I really think Jean has a chance to beat out Walter and Posey for the #2 spot.. and in any case there should be plenty of good competition between those guys, Martin, and Jones. _________________

Glad to see we are making moves to address issues with the team. I always liked Jacoby, but there was no doubt he could be upgraded.
Good luck to him tho. _________________

...and then he backpedaled instead of going straight out the door.
Heard the news before I went to class, but was in too much of a rush to post. Sad he has to go, but it had to be done. I was calling for a Jacoby breakout season since the 2010 season, but he didn't breakout. He had all the talent in the world, but just couldnt put it together. Now I have to see what to do with my autograph steel blue Jacoby Jones jersey. Haha
My favorite Jacoby moments
-Punt return for td's in preseason games vs Dallas and Arizona
-Two point conversion catch vs the Ravens on MNF
-Scored on the first play vs the Bucs last season
-Punt return touchdowns in regular season vs Bengals and Raiders _________________

The plays I will remember him by is his playoff screw up and that 2pt conversion catch. Also the play during the regular season @Balt when he beat Ed Reed deep for a TD _________________

For every big play he made, he followed it up with a bonehead mistake. I hate to say it, but because of this I never fully trusted him. He was decent as a WR but never met his potential. Best of luck to wherever he goes, but I'm looking forward to seeing what the rookies can do. _________________

Not only am I gonna miss the td dances, I'm gonna miss his pre-game dancing......dude used to get so hyped up during pre-game workouts.......especially to "mr. Hit dat".......
But he was waaaaaay overdrafted if you ask me. He was more of a 6th or 7th. Had he been drafted then, his progress in production would have been a bit more reasonable....... hope he gets it right with his next team. He WILL get picked up. |

Jacoby is a good guy who has the personality that lets them get to him way too easily. Wish him all the best. |
Makes me wonder if Jacobys Homey will go the way of APeterson_Texan. If only we'd drafted Fleener... |
Yeah, i'm probably gonna change it to something like Koobs4Life, or DwightJonesIsTheNextAJ80. Something cool like that. |
Your username player is off the team and so is mine (DeMeco Ryans.) I honestly don't know where the Dangerous came from but the 59 was for 'Meco. Glad that Mercilus is 59 because he is still "dangerous" but Ryans will always be my first love.
Did we burn any bridges with Jabar Gaffney? I wouldn't mind him signing with the Texans as a 3rd receiver until about mid-season when Martin and Posey take over for Walter/(Vet FA). |
