I wouldnt take a chance on a first round guard, just not good value there. It isnt a real valuable position, one that requires using a first round pick. Looking across the league, there really havent been many great OGs that were first round picks. I consider it probably the least valuable position to spend a first round pick on. |

I rather take a more skilled position.
We just spent a 1st rounder on the O-Line, and if we dip into the 15th pick range I would prefer we didnt use it on a OG.
I rather go with NT/DT, ILB, WR
These 3 (non-QB) position are our 3 biggest weaknesses.

I just think solidifying our offensive line would help solve many of our problems on offense. The only other position on offense I'd really look at is WR, but I'm not really a fan of anyone that will likely be on the board.
Defensively, its wide open as I think we need to upgrade at DT, LB and CB, but all of those positions have depth that we can take advantage of, much like how we waited at CB for the 3rd last year or waited until the 4th for WR.

Looking back, I'm still amazed at how last year we added cornerstones in each of the three phases of the game.
Offense: Matt Kalil
Defense: Harrison Smith
Special Teams: Blair Walsh

I think Rick did an amazing job last year in the draft. He isn't getting enough credit for hitting on so many guys. Kalil, Smith, Robinson, Wright, Ellison, Walsh are all looking like great picks. Had Childs not gotten hurt again, he may have been the steal of the draft and only made Rick look like more of a genius(may be over the top). If Childs comes back healthy and Cole sees the field in the future and ends up being a solid starter, this draft top to bottom is the best we've had in a long time. Time will tell, but I like it.

Yup, which is why I'm not buying the "if Frazier gets canned, Spielman should to.". Spielman has done a great job evaluating prospects and is safe as GM.
I like Spielman's eye for talent. The fact that he didn't have to evaluate Harrison Smith after the Senior Bowl says a lot about his potential. He knew right then that he was going to be the real deal. Then went on to add the rest of the class.

Maybe he should devote a similar amount of attention on potential free agents. The drafts really have been strong the past two years, lots of contributing players all over the draft. |

With Spielman's penchant to drafting players from Arkansas, does anyone think there's a strong chance that we draft Tyler Wilson?
Looking at where we are set to be picking, it looks like Wilson might be the best player on the board, and with the complete disaster that Ponder has become, this team needs to find a quarterback.

If we're drafting a QB, I'd like it to be Wilson or Landry Jones.

Cobi Hamilton and Alvin Bailey are probably much more likely if you are going to play the Arkansas angle. |
