Some of the comparisons I see:
Tavon Austin-Darren Sproles: Austin will be used all over the field when he is drafted. Doesn't stretch the field but is dangerous on underneath routes.
Robert Woods-Greg Jennings: Sound route runner and dangerous after the catch.
DeAndre Hopkins-Roddy White: Not flashy, but he is consistent and reliable stretching the field and underneath.
Justin Hunter-Sidney Rice: Has the raw ability to become a #1. Large catch radius and a vertical threat. Small frame and poor route runner.
Da'Rick Rogers-Dez Bryant: Powerful receiver after the catch. Struggles with concentration. Character concerns.
Markus Wheaton-Mike Wallace: Both quick and fast, he gets up the field in a hurry making him a dangerous vertical threat.
Quinton Patton:-Stevie Johnson: Good but not great in every area while being productive. _________________

I can see all your comparisons except this one.
The attributes you mention, those I can see, but Hunter is a markedly better (faster) athlete than Sidney ever was. I'm expecting a low 4.4 out of Hunter, not a 4.5 like Rice. Hunter, despite his similar size, is shiftier and more fluid as well.
That said, I've soured on Hunter a bit, I'm not sure I would take him with our 1st round pick. _________________

Tom Pelissero @TomPelissero
The A.J. Jefferson trade was a flop of picks. Spielman still won't say which picks. But they have 8 total right now. #Vikings
----------
My guess is our original 6th and their 7th. _________________

Wouldn't it have to be a 2 for 1? 7 original picks plus a 4 from Detroit and a 6 from Tennessee _________________

Dan Wiederer @StribDW
Vikings 2013 draft picks by round: First - 1; Second - 1; Third - 1; Fourth - 2; Fifth - 1; Sixth - 0; Seventh - 2.

Looks like both 6th rounders for Jefferson and a 7th _________________

That cant be right. Didnt we get a 6th from Tennessee? Or was that flopped with a 7th?
Whatever happened with the McNabb trade? Werent the Vikes suppose to give up a 6th rd pick in consecutive years? |

Yeah, something is off. McNabb didn't meet the criteria for the conditional pick (2013 6th rounder), so they still have that pick.
The writer stands by those numbers and if they are true, that is what it would be. Maybe Spielman just misremembered how many picks they have. _________________

I have a feeling we are going to trade back to 29-37 to secure more picks. I don't see anybody being of value when we get to pick at 22. Unless one of the better prospects takes a big slide (Te'o, Allen, one of the DT's) I don't see us sitting there.
The lack of picks deep in the draft (6th and 7th) tells me the Vikings are going to be moving back.
I wouldn't mind seeing the Vikings acquire Wallace in FA, keeping Harvin & Wright and drafting a WR in the early 2nd (for this example Hopkins). That would be a good WR corps for Ponder to work with. _________________

He's drawn that comparison, but he's not as explosive an athlete IMO. _________________

There are a lot of enigmas in this class and one of them is probably going to break out and have a big career. Rogers is the biggest of the enigmas though, and I don't know if teams are going to take a chance on him in the early or the late rounds.
One thing can be said, the talent is there to be great. _________________
