Elam is also a guy that will likely be taken in between our first and second round picks. So unless you're trading back from our first, or up from our second, he won't be available to us most likely. _________________

I think Elam goes comfortably in round 1. Especially when teams see what he will likely run at the Pro Day/Combine. The length is really the only thing that will drop him to the later third of the first round, IMO. _________________

His size is going to hold him back, I agree. _________________

Is Denard Robinson still a QB for Michigan?
I've never paid much attention to him. Did he throw the ball, like ever? _________________

No, he hasn't been the QB since about mid season I think he was knocked out of a game with an injury (at least this is what I remember), he's been playing RB/WR since then. _________________ Gnat's Movie Reviews

I'm glad others here are seriously considering this kid. His upside is tremendous.
While we don't have a need at DE right now, sometimes you have to project your needs out a year down the road. Drafting Kyle Rudolph in 2011 is a great example of this. We might've had more visible immediate needs, but the team projected this need a year ahead of time. People questioned it at the time. Now, it looks like a great pick.
All three of our DEs expire in 2014. Griffen will get paid here, that's basically a formality. Neither of the other two I'm very sure about.
There are not many players I'm confident about drafting late in the 1st. Right now I'm looking at Banks and Ansah. One of the WRs may change my mind, but I doubt it. Otherwise, I look to trade down. _________________

Because the backup was a better QB. _________________

I think Ansah is another guy that goes before our pick in the first round anyway. Kid does have incredible upside and scheme versatility. _________________

Anyone here watching the KState- Oregon game?
How are Arthur Brown (KS LB) and Nigel Malone (KS CB) looking? |

DE would be pretty poor value for this team anyway, unless Allen is moved for a high pick. |

I saw D'Anthony Thomas run through Arthur Brown for the second score of the game. That is only one example of why I don't think he'll hold up well in the run game. _________________

I would love Minter as our 2nd round pick; dude is a playmaker and would be a mainstay in our defense for a decade. On second thought, he will probably rise to the first round when teams see his film...and I wouldn't mind him there either. |

Minter would be a great 2nd round pick, but I'm doubting he will be available at our slot.
It would not surprise me if he passes up Ogletree for the 2nd ILB spot. _________________
