Once again, I am back with my 3rd draft thread. And the 3rd time is a charm. My first year, I started very late and didn't get to do as much as I wanted. This past year, I was adjusting to the college life, as well as creating a draft blog. But for this next year, I should be able to keep up with this thread a lot more than I have in the past.

As for my thoughts on this draft, I think that it looks much stronger than the 2012 class right out of the gate. The underclassmen in this class could change everything by staying an extra year, but there are more draft eligible players with first round grades this year than last year, at least at this point. Unlike this past year, we will see some good competition for the number one spot in the draft. It could be a quarterback, like USC's Matt Barkley, Tennessee's Tyler Bray, or even Tyler Wilson out of Arkansas. Or could it be a pass rusher? There is a duo of LSU linemen who will be battling for the top pass rushing spot in Sam Montgomery and Barkevious Mingo. There will be a lot of battling going on from now until next April...let the madness commence!

Quarterbacks

Analysis

The quarterback class of 2013 looks better than that of 2012...right now. But at this same time last year, I said that the 2012 class looked ridiculously deep. But two of the top quarterback prospects stayed in school, and all of a sudden Ryan Tannehill was the third best quarterback. Now, there seems to be two quarterbacks fighting for the top spot, with four more making a case for 1st round picks.

1. Matt Barkley | Southern California | Top 10
2. Geno Smith | West Virginia | Top 10
3. Tyler Wilson | Arkansas | First
4. Tyler Bray* | Tennessee | First
5. EJ Manuel | Florida St | Second

Running Backs

Analysis

This year's running back class is similar in depth to last year. Had Lattimore not busted his knee last year, people would be talking about him as another Trent Richardson. If he returns to form, he could very well regain that label. There are about 5 or 6 total running backs that I could see as 1st-2nd round draft picks this year, although it looks as though Michael Dyer will be staying another year at Arkansas State.

1. Marcus Lattimore* | South Carolina | First
2. Giovani Bernard** | North Carolina | First
3. Eddie Lacy* | Alabama | Second
4. Le'Veon Bell* | Michigan St | Second
5. Joseph Randle* | Oklahoma St | Second
6. Andre Ellington | Clemson | Second
7. Stepfan Taylor | Stanford | Third
8. Montee Ball | Wisconsin | Third
9. Mike Gillislee | Florida | Third
10. Jonathan Franklin | UCLA | Third
11. Christine Michael | Texas A&M | Fourth
12. Knile Davis* | Arkansas | Fourth
13. Jawan Jamison* | Rutgers | Fourth
14. Ray Graham | Pittsburgh | Fourth
15. Rex Burkhead | Nebraska | Fourth
16. Silas Redd* | USC | Fourth
17. Kenjon Barner | Oregon | Fifth
18. Cierre Wood | Notre Dame | Fifth
19. Spencer Ware* | Louisiana St | Fifth
20. Dennis Johnson | Arkansas | Fifth
21. Chris Thompson | Florida St | Sixth
22. Michael Dyer | Arkansas Baptist | Sixth
23. Onterio McCalebb | Auburn | Sixth

Wide Receivers

Analysis

At the top of the class, there are quite a few talented underclassmen. While the 2012 Draft Class was pretty deep at receiver, it lacked that top tier outside of Justin Blackmon and Michael Floyd in my opinion. A pair of Tennessee receivers in Da'Rick Rogers and Justin Hunter make up part of this talented class, as well as three west coast receivers as well in Robert Woods, Keenan Allen, and Marquess Wilson.

1. Justin Hunter* | Tennessee | Top 10
2. Robert Woods* | USC | First
3. Keenan Allen* | California | First
4. Terrance Williams | Baylor | Second
5. Tavon Austin | West Virginia | Second
6. Da'Rick Rodgers* | Tennessee Tech | Second
7. DeAndre Hopkins* | Clemson | Second
8. Marquess Wilson* | Washington St | Third
9. Cordarrelle Patterson* | Tennessee | Third
10. Stedman Bailey* | West Virginia | Third
11. Aaron Dobson | Marshall | Third
12. Tavarres King | Georgia | Third
13. Cobi Hamilton | Arkansas | Fourth
14. Markus Wheaton | Oregon St | Fourth
15. Kenny Stills* | Oklahoma | Fourth
16. Aaron Mellette | Elon | Fourth
17. Ryan Swope | Texas A&M | Fourth
18. Denard Robinson | Michigan | Fifth
19. Marcus Davis | Virginia Tech | Fifth
20. Quinton Patton | Louisiana Tech | Fifth
21. Conner Vernon | Duke | Fifth
22. Josh Boyce | Texas Christian | Sixth
23. Jordan Matthews* | Vanderbilt | Sixth
24. Rodney Smith | Florida St | Sixth
25. Dan Buckner | Arizona | Seventh
26. Keenan Davis | Iowa | Seventh
27. Erik Highsmith | North Carolina | Seventh
28. Roy Roundtree | Michigan | Seventh
29. Marquise Goodwin | Texas | Seventh
30. Russell Shepard | Louisiana St | Seventh

Tight Ends

Analysis

The tight end class is headlined by Notre Dame's Tyler Eifert. Had Eifert come out for the 2012 NFL Draft, he would have made a run to be the second tight end off the board. This year, he leads the class to open things up. But don't overlook the pair of Stanford tight ends, Zach Ertz and the gigantic Levine Toilolo. Each of them could rise up the boards if they can continue their success after Andrew Luck.

1. Tyler Eifert | Notre Dame | First
2. Zach Ertz* | Stanford | First
3. C.J. Fiedorowicz* | Iowa | Second
4. Dion Sims* | Michigan St | Second
5. Joseph Fauria | UCLA | Third
6. Levine Toilolo* | Stanford | Third
7. Jordan Reed* | Florida | Third
8. Chris Gragg | Arkansas | Fourth
9. Michael Williams | Alabama | Fourth
10. Philip Lutzenkirchen | Auburn | Fourth
11. Jake Stoneburner | Ohio St | Fifth
12. D.C. Jefferson | Rutgers | Fifth
13. Brandon Ford | Clemson | Fifth
14. Ryan Griffin | Connecticut | Sixth
15. Jack Doyle | Western Kentucky | Sixth
16. Ben Cotton | Nebraska | Sixth
17. Ryan Otten | San Jose St | Sixth
18. Lucas Reed | New Mexico | Seventh
19. Collin Anderson | Furman | Seventh
20. Mychal Rivera | Tennessee | Seventh
21. Chase Clement* | Louisiana St | Seventh
22. Kyler Reed | Nebraska | UDFA
23. Matt Furstenburg | Maryland | UDFA
24. Colter Phillips | Virginia | UDFA
25. Hubie Graham | Pittsburgh | UDFA
26. DJ Grant | Texas | UDFA

Offensive Tackles

Analysis

The offensive tackle class looks well above average at the top, which has apparently been the theme of this class. There are a pair of Texas A&M linemen, Luke Joeckel and Jake Matthews, that I really like, as well as LSU's linemen Chris Faulk and Alex Hurst. There are two more tackles who are huge and have potential through the roof in DJ Fluker and Seantrel Henderson. If Henderson can get his head on straight, he could be an absolute monster.

1. Luke Joeckel* | Texas A&M | Top 10
2. Taylor Lewan* | Michigan | First
3. Jake Matthews* | Texas A&M | First
4. Brennan Williams | North Carolina | First
5. Eric Fisher | Central Michigan | Second
6. Dallas Thomas | Tennessee | Second
7. D.J. Fluker* | Alabama | Second
8. Ricky Wagner | Wisconsin | Third
9. Oday Aboushi | Virginia | Third
10. Justin Pugh* | Syracuse | Third
11. Xavier Nixon | Florida | Third
12. Alex Hurst | Louisiana St | Fourth
13. John Wetzel | Boston College | Fourth
14. James Hurst* | North Carolina | Fourth
15. Mark Jackson | Glenville St | Fifth
16. Lane Johnson | Oklahoma | Fifth
17. Seantrel Henderson* | Miami (FL) | Fifth
18. Brian Winters | Kent St | Sixth
19. Nick Becton | Virginia Tech | Sixth
20. Luke Marquardt | Azusa Pacific | Sixth
21. Tanner Hawkinson | Kansas | Sixth
22. David Quessenberry | San Jose St | Sixth
23. Matthew Summers-Gavin | California | Seventh
24. Jeff Nady | Nevada | Seventh
25. LaAdrian Waddle | Texas Tech | Seventh
26. Manase Foketi | West Texas A&M | UDFA
27. Ryan Schraeder | Valdosta St | UDFA
28. Fou Fonoti | Michigan St | UDFA
29. Jeff Braun | West Virginia | UDFA
30. Zach Martin | Notre Dame | UDFA

Offensive Guards

Analysis

My top two guards for the 2013 draft are a pair of Alabama linemen, Barrett Jones and Chance Warmack. They helped pave the way for Heisman Trophy finalist Trent Richardson, and will look to do the same for Eddie Lacy this year. A couple other SEC linemen follow the 'Bama boys, as well as a Wisconsin lineman...shocker. I don't think there is a David DeCastro of this draft, but there are for sure some quality interior linemen.

1. Chance Warmack | Alabama | First
2. Jonathan Cooper | North Carolina | Second
3. Alvin Bailey* | Arkansas | Second
4. Larry Warford | Kentucky | Third
5. Travis Frederick* | Wisconsin | Third
6. Cyril Richardson | Baylor | Third
7. Gabe Jackson* | Mississippi St | Third
8. Omoregie Uzzi | Georgia Tech | Third
9. Travis Bond | North Carolina | Fourth
10. Braden Hansen | Brigham Young | Fourth
11. Hugh Thornton | Illinois | Fourth
12. Earl Watford | James Madison | Fourth
13. Chris McDonald | Michigan St | Fifth
14. John Sullen | Auburn | Fifth
15. Jeff Baca | UCLA | Fifth
16. Blaine Foltz | Texas Christian | Fifth
17. Carson York | Oregon | Sixth
18. Lane Taylor | Oklahoma St | Sixth
19. Chris Jacobson | Pittsburgh | Sixth
20. Oscar Johnson | Louisiana Tech | Seventh
21. James Wilson | Florida | Seventh
22. Stephane Milhim | Massachusetts | Seventh
23. Patrick Lewis | Texas A&M | UDFA
24. Josh Jenkins | West Virginia | UDFA
25. Theo Goins | Central Floria | UDFA
26. Patrick Omameh | Michigan | UDFA
27. Chris Barker | Nevada | UDFA
28. Tyler Evans | Oklahoma | UDFA
29. Joe Duhon | Southern Mississippi | UDFA
30. Robert "Peters" Drey | Purdue | UDFA

Centers

Analysis

Khaled Holmes is not only the number one center, but also has the coolest hair out of any center in the draft. As of right now, he is the only center with a chance at the first round in my eyes. After that, its pretty wide open really. Ben Habern and Mario Benavides are two other centers to keep an eye on, from Oklahoma and Louisville respectively. Travis Swanson, the underclassman from Arkansas is one too watch as well.

1. Barrett Jones | Alabama | First
2. Khaled Holmes | USC | Second
3. Travis Swanson* | Arkansas | Second
4. Mario Benavides | Louisville | Third
5. Graham Pocic | Illinois | Third
6. Dalton Freeman | Clemson | Fourth
7. James Ferentz | Iowa | Fourth
8. Braxston Cave | Notre Dame | Fourth
9. TJ Johnson | South Carolina | Fifth
10. Gabe Ikard* | Oklahoma | Fifth
11. PJ Lonergan | Louisiana St | Sixth
12. Matt Smith | Kentucky | Sixth
13. Eric Kush | California (PA) | Sixth
14. Joe Madsen | West Virginia | Seventh
15. Brian Schwenke | California | Seventh
16. Matt Stankiewitch | Penn St | Seventh
17. Sam Schwartzstein | Stanford | Seventh
18. Trent Dupy | Tulsa | UDFA
19. Camden Wentz | North Carolina St | UDFA
20. Sam Robey | Florida | UDFA
21. Skylar Allen | Ohio | UDFA
22. Tevita Stevens | Utah | UDFA

28. Nick Carlson | Wyoming | UDFA
29. Deveric Gallington | Texas Tech | UDFA
30. Kyle Quinn | Arizona | UDFA

Defensive Ends

Analysis

The next two draft classes are going to be flat our stacked with pass rushers. This year, the class is headlined by two standout LSU linemen, Barkevious Mingo and Sam Montgomery, as well as two Longhorns, Jackson Jeffcoat and Alex Okafor. Had Mingo and Montgomery declared as redshirt sophomores, they could have been first round picks. Now that they have a year to stay in college and put on a little more weight, they should each be top picks in the 2013 draft.

1. Barkevious Mingo* | Lousiana State | Top 10
2. Bjoern Werner* | Florida State | Top 10
3. Sam Montgomery* | Louisiana State | First
4. Corey Lemonier* | Auburn | First

11. John Simon | Ohio State | Third

29. Devon Kennard | Southern California | UDFA
30. Craig Roh | Michigan | UDFA

Defensive Tackles

Analysis

The defensive tackle prospects are led by three big players, Star Lotulelei, Kwame Geathers, and Johnathan Hankins. Hankins and Geathers are underclassmen, and most of the top defensive tackles are underclassmen as well. There are a few more seniors on the list, like Kawann Short and Jordan Hill. The only pair of teammates to find the list are the Florida duo, Dominique Easley and Sharrif Floyd.

1. Star Lotulelei | Utah | Top 5
2. Johnathan Hankins* | Ohio State | Top 10
3. Jonathan Jenkins | Georgia | First
4. Louis Nix III** | Notre Dame | First
5. Kawann Short | Purdue | Second

4-3 Outside Linebackers

Analysis

The 4-3 outside linebacker class is not particularly strong this year. I like the Alabama duo of C.J. Mosley and Nico Johnson, as well as Illinois' Jonathan Brown. Jelani Jenkins is also an intriguing prospect, as he may end playing in a 3-4 if he bulks up a little bit more. Jake Knott out of Iowa State has all the production in the world, so he has a pretty good grade from me as well.

3-4 Outside Linebackers

Analysis

This class is stacked with pass rushers, and a lot of them can translate to a 3-4 defense. Once again, the LSU duo of Mingo and Montgomery are near the top of the list. Georgia's Jarvis Jones has experience as a 3-4 OLB and could have been a top 15 pick in the 2012 draft had he declared. Another duo to watch is the Texas A&M pair of Sean Porter and Damontre Moore.

1. Jarvis Jones* | Junior (RS)

Inside Linebackers

Analysis

Last year, at this very time, the inside linebacker class looked very, very strong. That quickly changed when Vontaze Burfict fell down draft boards and Manti Te'o elected to stay for another year, leaving Luke Kuechly and Dont'a Hightower as the only first round prospects at the position. This year's class could turn out the same way, as four of my current top five inside linebackers are underclassmen who could return to school.

Cornerbacks

Analysis

Much like 2012, the 2013 draft will not be lacking in the cornerback department. Not only that, but a lot of this year's cornerbacks are big and physical players. One of these corners is Florida State's Xavier Rhodes, who could have been a borderline first round draft pick in 2012. Another player to keep an eye on is North Carolina State's David Amerson, who led the NCAA in interceptions with 13 last season. He had more games with two interceptions than he did with zero.

Safeties

Analysis

For the first time in a while, this safety class appears to be absolutely loaded. That said, there are a few underclassmen who could very well return to school. Well Tennessee should have at least 2 guys in the top 5 at their respected positions in Hunter and Bray. I also really like Dallas Thomas.

Our DBs are looking pretty good this year also with a lot of upperclassmen.
