Everyone is saying who they would have taken with each pick and complaining about Mayhews picks. So, I decided to come up with the forum, where I ask the simple question: Who would you have taken with each selection the Lions had?

You can not trade and have to keep all trades Mayhew made. So, this is what my draft would have looked like if I was Martin Mayhew.

23.) David DeCastro, G, Wisconsin
54.) Peter Konz, C, Wisconsin
85.) Dwight Bentley, CB, UL-Lafayette
125.) Ronnell Lewis, DE/OLB, Oklahoma
138.) Cyrus Gray, RB, Texas A&M
148.) Chris Greenwood, CB, Albion
196.) Antonio Allen, SS, South Carolina
223.) Travis Lewis, OLB, Oklahoma

This would have been my draft. Please post your own and comment on my. Overall I still believe the Lions had a great draft!

1. Riley Reiff
2. Peter Konz
3. Brandon Boykin
4. Ronnel Lewis
5. Josh Norman
5. Juron Criner
6. Brandon Washington
7. Travis Lewis

Given who was available, this likely would have been my draft.

Excellent idea, I like it. Should bookmark this so we can all see how dumb we are and how much better the Lions evaluate talent Laughing

125.) Ronnell Lewis LB OU
138.) Josh Norman CB CCU

First off I trust Mayhew 1000 times more than me so in hindsight I wouldn't change anything but heres my list as an Armchair evaluator

1. Riley Reiff
2. Josh Robinson
3. Lamar Miller
4. Ronnell Lewis
5. Josh Norman
5. Chris Greenwood
6. Brandon Washington
7. Alfonso Dennard

Edit Marvin Jones or Juron Criner for Greenwood bc I honestly didn't know about him until after the draft

To be honest, we all like Greenwood now that we have him and realize our staff liked how he worked out but I never saw a single mock or discussion with people wanting to spend a 5th on him. So to see him in these lists is kind of odd.

I agree but I couldn't keep him off the list after reading about him. lol He is my favorite pick of the draft but that's in hindsight.

Only guy I kept same was Reiff because that was good value.

I agree seeing some of these lists with mutiple same picks is puzzling

I kept Reiff on Ronnell Lewis, but again a lot of that is hindsight after reading up on him. Not knowing how the rest would play out, i would have likely drafted Josh Norman there, and drafted someone else in the 5th, but I like Lewis after further evaluation.

Actually somebody started a thread about him about 3 months ago and many people wanted him in the 5-7rd.

Ya this is hard 2 do in hindsight bc I would have prolly drafted Brandon Washington sooner than the 6th and probably Dennard sooner than the 7th as well

People said they would be ok with picking him, and he would be a good late round flier, but he was not BPA on anyone's board in the 5th. Especially on all these redrafts in which we have CB's drafted earlier.

Good idea for a thread.

My picks. (No trades=original picks)

1. Riley Reiff, OT
2. Peter Konz, C
3. Joe Adams, WR
4. Jared Crick, DE
5. George Iloka, S
7. Travis Lewis, LB
7. Andrew Datko, OT

Really wouldn't have addressed CB, but I'm not too sure CB was BPA anytime we drafted. Hindsight, I like the Greenwood pick, but he wasn't on my radar.

I really thought OL was BPA numerous times when we were OTC. I would have taken those guys and filled it out for the future.

I really think Crick/Iloka were not only BPA at our picks, but would have fit our system nicely. I would have loved to pair Crick with Suh again. Iloka ould have been great next to Delmas. Oh well.

Travis Lewis was someone I've had my eye on for three years now. In the 7th round, he was my BPA for awhile.

I remember one person posting that he would take him in the 5-7rds and then people agreeing, but it don't matter.

Speaking specifically for me: I took him for several reasons in my setup. If he was the only corner I took, I would have skipped him and took somebody I felt was more pro ready. But since I already had picked up some guys that should contribute early, the developmental guy was a good shot IMO. And as far as value, as long as it wasn't before the 5rd I was good with it. I am going to assume where he went was where Mayhew and Co. felt he would be taken (they have a bit more info than me)if they didn't get him and it looks right where I was thinking it was cool. So I am good keeping that pick the same.
