Kevin Spain is having a chat with the fans over on Nola.com - he kept talking about names that were being talked about in regards to possible suspensions but never actually said the names, soooo......
I asked:
Comment From Tyler
| Quote: | | What names have you actually heard, when it comes to suspensions? Or would it be better if you didn't say? |
He replied:
Kevin Spain, TP: | Quote: | | Vilma and Smith were the only names that I heard |
How sweet would it be if only Smith and Vilma were out? It would give Galette and Romeus some more playing time, as well as getting Lofton in at MLB rather than SLB. _________________

| Quote: | | Saints player discipline expected this week. If I had to guess, would think Vilma (4-8 games), W. Smith (2-4), Hargrove (1-2), Harper (1-2) |

| Just 4 players? I thought they've always talked about 22-27 players involved... |

And now the benefit of having a union comes to light.
Those suspensions aren't actually that bad. Vilma and Smith aren't too bad of a loss and Harper for 2 games can be dealt with.
I'm disappointed they didn't discipline Shanle. Probably thought it was bad enough he was on an NFL roster. _________________

Ban hammer for Shanle. Goodell, show you aren't messing around. Ban that guy, he's a detriment to the league. _________________

Looking like they only went after team leaders. _________________

Goodell probably figures that not suspending Shanle is a bigger punishment to the Saints _________________
