Definite A. We get a pass rusher on the opposite side of Clay, we get a DE that was a major need, that we could have taken with our first pick. We get him in the 2nd. In the third we adressed another need by getting a ballhawking corner. We also got a linebacker thats good in coverage and a rangy safety. Also, another guy that will play DE, he looks quick off the ball. Effort guy, cant fault the pick for just position alone. Easy A for TT here. _________________

Hey, I know it takes a few years to grade out, but this draft was just fun to witness.
I even like what I see of the tackle and the QB in round 7. _________________

A. TT just seemed to nail this one. Idk if he could've done any better. _________________

I would have done an A-. We got some great value picks (I love the first 4), then a little of a head scratcher but has potential so I can go with that, finished it off with 3 solid players. The only reason I give it an A- is because we didn't address RB at all which IMO is a need, but there are a few good ones that should be available in UDFA, so I am gonna assume they get one of those so I give it an A. _________________

Honestly it has to be an A, we filled all of our holes with very good value. Filled in good talent on a defense that was bad last year. Pass rush should be so much better and it won't just be Clay for now on. Like the guys we got in the secondary as Heyward is a great ballhawk and McMillan has a nice blend of speed and strength. This is one of the few drafts where I wasn't against any pick Ted made, all made sense to me. _________________

I love that Ted actually traded up so much this year, getting guys he obviously wanted. Not sure how, at this point, you can't give it a high score.
Also interesting that of the 8 picks, every one is a different position. _________________

Overall, I'm thoroughly pleased. There was a TON of value where the Packers picked and Ted did the right thing to move up and ensure he got his guy. The defense at the end of the day is going to look much, much better. Obviously, there were some guys I would have loved to see in a Packers uniform, but Ted Thompson has proven he's not bad at picking out prospects who work in the NFL.

It was good to see, we need quality players at a few positions, not quanity. He got quality at positions of need without giving much up. _________________

Of the 4 NFC North teams, match the overall player score with the team.
A. Lions 67.9
B. Bears 62.7
C. Vikings 72.3
D. Packers 68.8
ANSWERS:
Packers 72.3
Vikings 68.8
Lions 67.9
Bears 62.7
TT pulls off what might be one of his best drafts. I rated it a B IMO only because I wish it would have had some balance. I didn't want to see TT focus only on D, then watch our Offense fall off. OL worries me. |

If someone would have mocked this exact draft for us, I would have said its very unlikely and a fantasy at best. This draft is an easy A for me and has me very excited to see the new look our defense needed. _________________
