Gibson played for Greg Schiano at Rutgers and he should serve as a quality DT to have in the rotation. Roy Miller's job is no longer safe. _________________

He has done less than Miller in more time in the NFL up to this point so this could just be a camp competition signing. Who knows though, maybe pairing back up with Schiano will get him into gear. _________________

| Probably the most comfortable linemen easily that knows what to expect in his defense. He actually produced more than Roy Miller last year. Good depth to have as the #4 guy behind Okoye, Price, and McCoy. Think he sticks on the team just b/c he is the blue collar gritty player we desperately need on this team. Doesn't really have upside but just a grinder type DT that will push these guys. Chris Hovan type signing here. For the amount he just signed, 400K guaranteed money its a good bet this guy will make the final roster. In addition both the Vikings and Bears were interested in the guy, so its not like this guy is chopped liver. Good depth pick-up. |

| A new head coach who inherits a defense that has been really bad especially in rush defense for the last three years, no one's job is safe. I don't know a lot about Gibson, but I do know whoever was on the roster last year better come in ready to win a job or they're probably going to be on the street looking for a new job. |
