Just needs to get his accuracy up. 21/35 and 7/17 40+ yds is bad _________________

I like it. There will be a lot less kick returns this year if he makes the team. _________________

| Wish we would've waited till round 7, but still this kid can rip it. Just let him learn from the accurate veteran Longwell, and I think he'll be a good kicker who can get us a touch back pretty much every time. |

why would that be a waste?
a waste would be drafting a guy who never sees the field. when you think about it. |
Also we had a lot of holes. Why try fixing a bigger hole with a later prospect. What are the true chances we draft a starting LB in the 6th round? Not high, more then likely he will become a ST guy or worse. On the other hand, we have an old kicker who while reliable cant play until he is 80. Kickers in the 6th round have a much higher chance at succeeding imo.
Maybe this is a weird thought process, but it makes sense to me. If a factor of "well we have try sometime" why not pick up some UDFAs for that?
I personally hope we have two kickers unless this guy proves he can be accurate. Im still not confident that Ponder will get that many TDs (we will see) but I would like a solid Kicker to make those field goals lol. Gotta score points somehow lol _________________ XBL/PSN: Chainedsniper |

In my opinion we took him once St. Louis took Greg Zeulerin. A kicker we showed a lot of interest in. |

Think of it this way:
We took the 1st or 2nd best Kicker in this draft.
Maybe this is Longwell last season here.
So we drafted a starter for the 2013 season, after he gets a year seasoning under Longwell.
Its just bad karma to hate on a Kicker
I agree that players taken in round 6-7 have a 9% chance of being a starter, I would bet that if you isolated kickers, their percentage is higher then the masses _________________

Look up his draft video on youtube. He kicked a 56 yard field goal where the ball was still up around the top of the uprights when it went over the crossbar. _________________

oh great we picked a kicker who's going to send his ex girlfriend his ear after she breaks up with him
maybe he'll cry on the sideline when he drops his hotdog like jerry's girlfriend in that seinfeld episode? _________________
