Bucky Brooks' take: The Vikings take a flier on a big, athletic pass catcher with the addition of Childs. He possesses the speed to run past defenders on vertical routes and could be a hidden gem if he can continue to move past the knee injury that prematurely ended his junior season.

can we call him "Jackie?" after the Jackie Childs of Seinfeld fame...? _________________

Love the pick. Big/fast/athletic and huge hands. Our receievers are looking stronger.
Anyone else hear that Childs and Wright were teamates in HS too? Teamates in HS/College and now the NFL, pretty cool. _________________

Childs YAC ability is legendary. My 3rd favorite pick of the class. Great job Spiel. _________________

| I hate that the Dolphins didn't get a shot at Childs, but I'm happy for him, especially getting to play with Wright at yet another level of football. If he's healthy, and i think he is, you just got the steal of the draft. |

Yup I am thrilled. Our lack of speed outside of Percy has been a killer. Childs and Wright really improve that weakness. |

I'd be all for that, but the character's name was actually Jackie Chiles.
'It's outrageous, egregious, preposterous.'

| I see a lot of Sidney Rice. Uber-talented, but injury-prone. |

Sounds like a potential guy. I take back what I said of him comparing to Jenkins (other than overall height).
Both he and Wright sound like smart guys. I think there is potential there, allthoug I'm not too sure they will make an immediate impact. Childs could be a redzone threat, but thats as far as I'll go with it.
Anyways, I'll give em time. They aren't the best of prospects, but that doesn't mean much now. Whats important is what they do after the draft. I'm excited and hope for the best. _________________
