Cullen was undrafted, but I see a little similarity there, but I actually see more similarity in John Randle from Daniels, but I'll take either
I love the pick.
The only negative anyone pegs on Michael Daniel is his heighth!
And I think he uses that heighth to his advantage.
PAD LEVEL baby!
He wins it.
I absolutely love Worthy and him there..... Raji and Pickett should stay so much fresher.
Hargrove can get after the passer too from in there.....
Mike Neal and Lawrence Guy aren't needed, but if either of them can get, stay healthy, that's just icing on the cake.
I think CJ Wilson and Jarius Wynn might have a hard time sleeping tonight. | We have the DL version of Elvis Dumervil |

With the way it looks now we can go Giants style and keep rotating. Doing this will not only keep our big men fresh, but also throw different technique and style at the losing teams o-line. This is going to be an amazing year fellas. |
Yes, now we have D linemen coming out of our ears. _________________

If these guys stay healthy, I see our pass defense iproving back to the 2010 season level. Unless we get terrible safety play from whoever starts back there along side Burnett. A great pass rush will make all our DBs look a lot better! |
I think that is where Pepprah is serviceable. Paired with Collins and a better pass rush Pep was solid. Paired with Burnett and a lesser pass rush he was a liability. If this draft is effective and ups the pressure, as it seems to be able to on paper, I have no problems with any of our DBs. I still think we have one of the best CB groups from top to bottom in the league despite giving up a bazillion yards. _________________ GO PACK GO!

Malik Jackson played the year at 270 lbs.
Daniels played the year at 280 lbs.
Did you mean taller? |
basically yes.
Malik Jackson is currently 6'4" and 284lbs with 33 3/4" arms. He can easily put on more weight.
Daniels is 4 inches smaller and has 32 1/22 arms. He's currently slightly heavier at 290lbs and of course he too can put on a bit more weight without getting fat and hurting his burst.
both guys have reps as pocket penetrators. I personally would've preferred the bigger guy but i do like what i see of Daniels on his limited tape but i still wonder if he can overcome his size disadvantage against NFL sized linemen especially in nickle situations where there is only 2-3 guys rushing which means he will be doubled. Can he overcome that? His burst, technique and hand movement has to be real good. _________________

I was in ingles grocery store today and the guy at the checkout was reading a sporting news magazine and he had it opened to the DT page. I saw that the had Daniels 5th overall and Worthy 3rd for DT's. Getting 2 of the top 5 DT's is pretty impressive. _________________

I think Daniels may have the most immediate impact of this class, as a rookie. The more I read about him, the more I watch (yes, it was youtube but that's all I have!), the more I really like this kid. I think he can make a name for himself as a pass rush specialist. The way he explodes off the snap and knocks his OL back right away is very reminiscent of Raji. Guy's a monster. _________________

I have to confess that this guy was not on my radar at all and he should have been.
Can you consistently put 4 and 5 good pass rushers out there on 3rd and 7 or more? This guy gives us one more.
Almost certain he'll be one of the six or seven DL on the 53 man roster.
Raji-Worthy-Pickett-Hargrove-Daniels.
Muir, Wynn, Neal, Wilson all fighting for one or two spots. |

One of my kids this year. Little under the radar for me in Green Bay also. More so just because I just felt he would be long gone before TT would take a specialist. Philly would have been all over him had they not pulled in Cox. _________________

As an Iowa alumnus (among other things), I'm really disappointed to learn they lost that game.
Still, some good stuff there. |
