Came on really late, wasn't a huge producer. Poor man's Jerel Worthy. |
I haven't seen him at all. He's so short for a de. Any chance he's a OLB? |

Pressure from the inside and he does this really well, as you can see from his nine sacks last season. I think he will become a situational rusher on our defensive line and was a very solid pick. |
This. I don't think he'll ever develop into a starter, but he'll definitely find his niche as a situational pass rusher. Between him and B.J. Raji on obvious passing downs, there should be some pressure applied to the opposing quarterback. |

Didn't know much about him to be honest but watching his highlight, he freakin flys off the snap. _________________

any chance that this pick confirms the theory that we are gonna have more 4-3 looks next season?
Looking at our FA acquisions and targets, the draft so far....you could argue that we're getting guys suited for 4-3. _________________

If anything, seems more like we're running a 3-4. We just needed more production out of our RDE position. Mike Neal is officially on the hot seat. |

Not really. Our OLB might put their hands in the dirt, but the base 2-4-5 DLs tend to play more like 4-3 DTs than 3-4 DEs or NTs. In the end, having quality bodies to rotate more on the DL is more important than getting wrapped up in "prototypical fits". _________________

Seems like all our front 7 guys are 4-3 guys. But what would we do with Clay? Von Miller role maybe. And who is our other DE (other than Perry), Hargrove? _________________ Adopt-a-Packer Frank Zombo
Can we please cease and desist with the term 'professional athletes representing their country'? That term should be reserved for one man and one man only: Pat Tillman.-Mike Bianchi, Orlando Sentinel |

Fellas gotta start thinking about how GB plays ball on offense and how it impacts their D.
GB's offense playing fast break style offense. Teams need to put up crazy points to keep up. They do that with 4 WR/1 RB. When they do that GB plays nickel. When GB plays nickel, they play a 2 man front.
Daniels and Worthy are both ideal inside rushers in that defense and, while I would have taken Chapman, Daniels is an interesting tool in the toolbox. Super explosive off the snap and great at getting small and breaking through.
I look at this as a 3-4 answer to a 4-3 team picking a 250 lb. DE. He isn't going to be traditional right away, but you only play straight up 15% of the time, so we'll see. _________________

He's a little short but he is very thickly built. I thought he was the best player on the Dline two seasons ago that included Adrian Clayborn(drafted by Bucs in 1st last year) and Christian Ballard(drafted by the Vikes in the 4th last year). Good pick to add to the Dline competition. |

| PFW had this guy as the 84th best player in the draft. He will be a very useful interior rusher for the Pack. He will more than likely be a rotational guy, but he'll give our pass rush a jolt. Great athlete, hard working vocal type. Good addition. |

I agree with msmre. After seeing that brief highlight reel, he seems like an explosive pass rusher. It's clear that we're going to be better in that department next year. _________________ Top 50 Franchise Cornerstones (2012) - COMPLETED! |
