The way Curry reacted when Boykin was selected was great! _________________

I see him as versatile but not special in any area.
Watched the 3 games he has on youtube (vs boise, mich st, florida) and a highlight reel.
He makes plays returning kicks and he makes plays blowing up screen passes. Sometimes he blows up a running play, other times he's in the right spot but lacks the strength to make the tackle. You rarely see him downfield in coverage and when you do he is usually getting beat.
Great vision and instincts but I don't see him taking over Hanson's spot. He does, however, remove any excuse to keep Chad Hall. |

Saw Curry's interview he said Him and Boykin are really good friends and was cheering when he heard we got Boykin. _________________

Not directed at anyone who has done this but let's just get this out of the way because I know it's going to pop up sometime:
His name is Brandon Boykin.
There is no "s" after Boykin.
Thank you. _________________

His return value makes me love this pick. He returned both kickoffs and punts at a high level in the SEC, he improved in the slot as the season went on, and he is a good athlete. He also has longer arms than Dre Kirkpatrick and Stephon Gilmore.
His instincts in coverage at times can be questionable as he can be late to the play, but he's going to improve, and he did as the season went on in 2011. At the very least this pick allows us to pull DeSean off full time punt returns and he replaces Dion Lewis as the primary kickoff returner. _________________

bobby april thought boykin was the best combo returner in the draft. _________________

If you listen to Boykin's Conference call somehow Curry got on it, I think he just grabbed the phone right outta BoWolfe's hands, and started chatted him up
I hope Curry can back it up with his play, but I already like him a lot. _________________

Would love this. It would free up a space on the roster and if it doesn't work as planned, hey, at least we cut Chad Hall.
The day we cut Chad Hall i'll run naked outside. _________________

I don't know if he'll make the team, but the guy they just signed, Damaris Johnson was pretty much used in that role at Tulsa. Jet sweeps, screens, etc. He is extremely shifty. I'm pulling for him. |
