so....
what are we thinking about young Jarius after some playing time today?
he had one long catch, an over the head TD catch, an end around that got sniffed out. anything else? _________________

he really didn't do much after that first drive. Not sure why.
Hopefully he gets worked more into the main offense. An extra bye week of practice should do him good. _________________

We've been looking for a receiver that can get separation deep. He certainly showed the ability to do that today. _________________

| Nice debut from Jarius Wright. I would love to see him replace Jerome Simpson as the #3 WR, once MN gets a true #1. I think if Wright steps up, MN wouldnt need to worry about keeping Jerome Simpson. |

I wonder what happens for the rest of this season. Will he go back to inactive when Harvin returns or will one of the other guys be benched? _________________

I'd rather see Jenkins benched. _________________

Even if Wright blocked poorly, id still find a way to get him active. Even if that means not having as good of a WR out there blocking. MN is desperate for some kind of spark on offense and Wright provided that briefly. |

After the bye Week I would like to see a few packages where Wright and Harvin are on the field together.
Wright should be active in favor of Burton at this point. _________________

I think Simpson, Harvin and Wright should be the top 3 WRs for most packages honestly, that is a heck of a lot of speed. Sure throw Burton in there on obvious run plays, its not like things will change much teams stack the box all the time anyway. Id keep Aromashodu active. I still just dont see a role for Michael Jenkins. |

Jenkins won't be benched as he's an asset in the run game. Burton is basically used in blocking situations and offers less as a receiver than Jenkins IMO.
Burton should be inactive. _________________

| Your probably right. Jenkins can catch the ball, unlike Burton. Its not like Burton poses any threat as a down field receiver, similarly to Jenkins. |

I'm with you there too. Jenkins blocked for the Rudolph TD in the 4th which was key for momentum.
I want to see Simpson and Wright wide, with Rudolph as a blocking TE, Harvin on the slant and Peterson as run or play action. _________________

Jarius Wright proved that he belong on the active roster over Burton. I'm sick of these coaches valuing a receiver's ability to run block over their actual ability as a receiver. _________________
