I mean Perry gets Big Grease in front of him, who is pretty good against the run which is supposed to one of Perry's weaknesses, and Clay gets the weaker guy in front of him ( Wynn/WOrth/WHoever) which he will make better. Maybe it's just about the fact that opposing O's cannot slide guys over to protect the right side or our left anymore, now they have to pick their poison!! Thoughts? | That's absolutely why CM is moving BACK to ROLB. People seem to forget that's where he played his whole rookie season. Then Capers moved him to LOLB so His two best pass rushers at the time,Jenkins ans Matthews, weren't on the same side of the formation in 2010. When 2011 rolled around Matthews was by far the most complete OLB on the team so Capers left him at LOLB to take advantage of his coverage/run stopping ability more. Now in 2012, we have Perry in the mix. That brings much needed talent to that position. His frame is more suited to be on the strong side of the formation so you move Matthews back to ROLB, his most natural position IMO, and it all seems to fit better. _________________

Could Perry get more sacks than Matthews this year (injury not withstanding) ? _________________ "It's the same old Jay," Woodson told ESPN afterward. "We just need to be in position. Jay will throw us the ball." |

| I doubt it. If anything, his play will open Matthews up to get more sacks. I have a feeling Matthews will be on a mission this year. |

I hope so... but I expect teams will, again, focus on stopping #52, and Perry will have many chances to get to QBs.... he needs to do this, and it will help open up more chances for Clay.
Win-win. _________________ "It's the same old Jay," Woodson told ESPN afterward. "We just need to be in position. Jay will throw us the ball." |

Not only that, but the fact that they might have to focus on both Perry and Matthews opens things up for Raji and Worthy. You can't double team everyone, and someone is bound to get a one on one. I think that's what excites me the most about the players that we drafted this year. If they show even a glimpse of talent that causes opposing offenses to adjust, our OLBs and DL become instantly more effective. _________________

I was thinking on draft night, if DeCastro is there at 28 do I want him or Upshaw? I was a big Upshaw at LOLB guy... Now my hypothetical question is, who would you take? DeCastro or Perry if they were both there at 28? I couldn't believe DeCastro falling that far...

And then the Secondary. It's a trickle effect. _________________

That would be really tough for me because I had Perry and DD in my Top-12. I think the packers needed Perry more, but DD would have been safer _________________

I'm happy as hell that we have him but he is a bit of a project at OLB. DeCastro could step in at center and make that line elite but the bigger need was pass rush. |

I think Decastro would stay at Guard and be an elite one at that. As for Perry, I rated him as a 4-3 DE since I'm a Jaguars fan _________________

| Ask yourself this: Would you rather have Decastro over Saturday, or Perry over Walden? |

Why is it called the "secondary"? Shouldn't it be called the "tertiary"?
Unless the MIDDLE line backers are centered from side to side.. . _________________
