Yes I would say. | The receivers have talked frequently about needing to know every position because they plan on changing up positions on the fly in order too take advantage of different match-ups. But hasn't Blackmon always been billed as a Possession/Z type receiver ? _________________ ...What? |

He actually moved around quite a bit. He made quite a few big plays from the slot. But wherever he was, the defense's best corner followed.
I don't think he'll pull the best corner right off the bat, but I hope he can by sometime around the midpoint of the season.
I think he'll be comfortable wherever he plays on the field. It's his route tree that needs the most work - it was a weakness he was able to overcome in college with physicality and RAC ability. And that's easier said than done in the NFL. _________________

It's a great way to take advantage of his playmaking ability. His best asset is making plays in space, which is pretty much what being a punt returner is. _________________

As a rookie, I wouldn't be against him returning punts. _________________

Until he starts off the season good in the recieving game but is returning punts as well and ends up getting hurt returning punts and we have no passing game. _________________

But the risk of injury is too great for him too do it alot. unless he's REALLY good at it and he has some rookie woes in the passing game. _________________ ...What? |

Well he is competing with quite a few other guys so I wont be too worried yet, but if he is the opening day starter, I will be _________________

I'd be suprised if he ended up winning the retun job. He didn't have much experience in college and the few times he did field punts, he wasn't anything special. _________________

Been a while since i've posted, but I still can't believe we've drafted Blackmon! I've never been so pleased with a first round pick for a long time.
I just hope he doesn't get injured during the off-season or anything crazy like that because it's just our luck something like that would happen to us.
I'm hoping to see a much matured Gabbert link up with Blackmon very often this coming season. _________________
