I'd say that's a pretty reasonable thing to suggest. At the very least, Robinson would be hard-pressed to be worse than Hill. So at that point, with Thomas still in the fold, you're probably at least breaking even with last year at the top end of the depth chart. So from that point...whatever Blackmon can do on the field is basically pure improvement, as it's hard to imagine him being less effective than any of the other supposed targets from last year.
So yeah, it's better than last year...but the real question in my mind, is 'how much better?' and if it will be 'better enough.' And the answer to those sort of questions really rests on Blackmon and how he performs. If Blackmon comes in and is a stud from his first snap, then yeah...that's a big improvement. But it's not difficult to see how someone who isn't as high on Blackmon could be a little more pessimistic about the improvement.
Yes, there's a lot of upside with both Blackmon and Robinson. But there's no guarantees there either. There were folks who seemed to think there was upside last year with Hill too...and we all know how that worked out. I'm still fairly optimistic about this group and i think it's definitely an improvement...but there are still things to be nervous about, and i still have my reservations about how much more rennovation might need to be done there in the future. |

If you are suggesting your WRs are not DRASTICALLY improved, you are insane. _________________ NEW 2011 draft prediction.

X is usually considered the number one WR and is often the most complete WR on the team.
I know I made a big deal about it earlier, but I think not being the number one will be better for Blackmon. It would make the transition to the NFL easier imo. _________________
