| Quote: | Interim coach Joe Vitt suggested LB Curtis Lofton would move to the strong side when Jonathan Vilma is healthy and in the lineup.
If Vilma is suspended, as expected, Lofton will move back to the middle with David Hawthorne on the weak side and Scott Shanle on the strong side. Chris Chamberlain, signed away from the Rams, could end up competing for snaps with Shanle. | Via Rotoworld

Not shocked one bit... Upsetting but not shocked.
Spags tried to get him In St. Louis last season so I knew he thought highly of him. I'm just hoping that depth is all he'll amount to In 2012. _________________

1. Acquire 2 probowl caliber LBers
2. Have talented 3rd rd LBer from last year
3. Hire one of the most gifted D coordinators in the league
4. Start the worst LBer on the worst LB corps in the NFL
Wait what?
This is infuriating. How does he keep getting playing time?!? _________________

I don't even know what to say. I've typed up 3 or 4 responses, but none of them do justice to this stupidity. _________________

I don't buy it. There is no way we gave the money we did to Hawthorne for him to be a back up. When the season starts, it will be Hawthorne 1, then either Shanle or Chamberlain as the backup.
EDIT: I read this wrong. Is there some kind of issue with Martez Wilson we don't know about? _________________

Hawthornes the starting WLB, Lofton will be in the middle and Shanles will be at SLB when Vilmas suspended...we better pray Wilson steps it up in training camp and wins the job. _________________

Im going to pretend Joe Vitt is still feeling overly emotional about the pressure of being interim coach and or the suspension. Shanle is by far our worst linebacker and Gregg Williams would not take him off the field. I thought it was some sort of strange friendship between the two of them, but now Vitt is blinded by love as well. Lets pray Wilson's athleticism wows Spags enough to give him the nod.. _________________

Luckily for us Vitt isn't going to be head coach for the first 8 games. I honestly hope that the interim-interim head coach just does a great job and Vitt doesn't become the head coach. Martez Wilson needs to tear it up in training camp. _________________

| This shouldn't be looked at with much merit. The draft isn't even over yet and OTA's have barely begun; there's a lot of time from now to even a projected depth chart. |

Bring the hammer down on Shanle, he is clearly a defensive leader for this team (because nobody as bad as him should be on the field unless they are a strong leader) and he should've stopped the bounties. BRING THE HAMMER DOWN GOODELL! _________________

Vitt doesn't have a clue what he is doing. Why even sign him if he isn't going to play the position he is best at..... _________________ The Quote of the Month is: "Losing Creditability" |

Would be a good way to get rid of Shanle imo _________________
