Agreed. The fact that Lechler, arguably the best punter ever is not on this list yet is a complete joke. How can you say that Lecher is not the best player on the team. He might not be at the most glamorous position but he is the best player at his position on the team. The guy is a perennial All Pro. Come on man...

And look at the difference it made. The list sucks. Our best player shouldn't be somebody who misses 4 games a year. Our 2nd best player is not a QB who's only been here half a year and throws bonehead interceptions. And our 2 best players get snubbed, possibly out of the top 5, because of their positions. Dude how are you complaining about McFadden... yes he misses 4 games a year, but his talent far exceeds anyone on this team.
And you talk about missing playing time, but want our best player to be our punter? A person who goes on the field maybe 5 times a game? lol
This list looks solid to me so far. Maybe we should just take Shane and Sebass off the poll, because it's kind of hard to compare special teams players to actual players.

Some people vote based on importance. Palmer and dmac are more important to our success than our kicker/punter no matter how good they are. And don't get so upset dude, lechlers feelings aren't hurt

I felt that way too, though a couple of the young players looked really tempting
PS it's best player, not the best at their position. Shane is great and has been his whole career. Seabass won't be getting my vote for a while because of his past. Big leg who has become a good kicker, but I would have cut him long ago after some of his whiffs back in the day. |
