Yeah, I don't like Herron. If BGE was to get hurt, I'd look for Peerman to step in. I don't think Scott is capable of carrying the ball 20+ times a game, and while I love Leonard, he's not a between the tackles type of back.
That's why I wanted to see us get a bell-cow type back late. Poole would have been a good pick.
Hard to complain much about a 6th round pick, but this is the one truly poor pick of the draft, IMO. |
Even with that I dont think you can even call it a "poor" pick |

| I don't care about the health issues. Polk would have been a better pick. |

I hope thats not the case as Shipley or Pacman can both be returners. |
Hawkins and Scott can return kicks. |
I would like to see Hawkins out there |
Even with all that, they didn't last year. So it doesn't give me confidence that they'll kick Tate to the curb. _________________

Nope; Ganaway was the pick here IMO _________________ " I imagine that in Paul McCartneys' house, he must have a shelf with the 12+ great 'Beatles' studio albums neatly stacked. At times, he must rock back in a chair, light a cigar and say to himself, '....not bad for a life's work......' " |

Marvin says we will sign 15 UDFAs
We obviously need LB, DE
Maybe QB, OT, C _________________

Burfict will likely be one. Travis Lewis, Cam Johnson (if he falls), a few RB's I hope. _________________

| As a Ravens fan, it pains me to say this... Cincinnati had the best draft hands down. Amazing job, Bengals. |

If I were a WLB UDFA, Cincinnati would be my first choice. Has to be one of the most makable spots in the NFL. _________________

Agree overall, just didn't understand the Prater pick. Guess its for ST's, but I thought we could have taken a better RB than Herron with #5a.....
They say you can't judge a draft for three years, perhaps we should now be grading the '08 draft and see how that worked out...... _________________ " I imagine that in Paul McCartneys' house, he must have a shelf with the 12+ great 'Beatles' studio albums neatly stacked. 2008 Draft
1. Keith Rivers, LB
2. Jerome Simpson, WR
3. Pat Sims, DT
3. Andre Caldwell, WR
4. Anthony Collins, OT
5. Jason Shirley, DT/OG
6. Corey Lynch, S
6. Matt Sherry, TE
7. Angelo Craig, DR
7. Mario Urritia, WR
I won't blast the Rivers pick, because he has had a lot of injury trouble, something that wasn't an issue in college either. Simpson over Desean Jackson remains a "d'oh" moment. Sims was a good pick. He has had some injury troubles, and a couple motivation questions, otherwise he could have been a great pick. Caldwell....meh. Collins was a nice 4th rd pickup. Can play either tackle, not a bad spot starter. Probably our best pick in 2009. Everything after that is pretty much crap. Not our best, not our worst. Pretty bad overall though.

I wasn't particularly impressed with that draft though. These past few drafts have been great _________________

Thats about what I'd give it.........
Interesting that we now have Derrick Harvey on the roster, revealing the player Marvin probably wanted originally. _________________ " I imagine that in Paul McCartneys' house, he must have a shelf with the 12+ great 'Beatles' studio albums neatly stacked.
