|
|
|
Since the beginning of April i have been tracking every single mock to go into the the 2012 Mock Draft Forum. This has been a sort of project to keep tabs on the percentages of players that people generally think will become seahawks. I thought a day or two before the draft would be the best time to release something like this for you guys to see. So here it is, every pick in every round presented by the people of Football's Future. Hopefully you like it.
By the way, this isn't something i expect a whole lot of responses or posts on. This is just something for you to to compare and contrast with your own mock drafts and data......plus numbers and stats are fun, so once again. Enjoy
Key
____Player(#)=Amount of times particular player was mocked to seattle
%=Top 5 highest percentage players taken
Plain Font=Others who received multiple votes
small font=Anonymous/lone picks that were never selected more than once
*_ Round Picks= Round with less than 5 players with sizable votes
"=" inbetween one player and the next indicates a shared total of entries
Notes
-Every underlined player can be clicked on for a quick link to a scouting page starting a day before the draft
-The 6th and 7th rounds have single top picks by default and will not show percentages
-The 2nd round was the most chaotic round for seattle, alot of variety (expect low percentage difference between now and draft day)
-This will continue to be updated until draft day
-After saturday, I will go back and look at where these players were taken and by who

It IS awesome. I've been doing sorta the same thing (without the organizatio) trying to figure out who's most likely & where, but this is way beyond that. Only thing is, I remember a post where you said this is likely to be your last year with much time to spend on this site- has that changed? Hope so. I really like both your insights & your posting demeanor. _________________ "We have met the enemy & he is us."- Pogo |

Very cool info!
I'm also in line to hop on the "Kuechly Mancrush" wagon. I honestly think he'd direct this defense much in the same way Lofa did, but with more athleticism. He'd make everyone better.
Put Kuechly at MLB and our sack/int numbers will go up, even with the same cast around him that Heater had. _________________

If the draft fell the way you're showing it Imani, I wouldn't have a problem with it at all. The top LB prospect at #12 would be great, plus an OG in the 2nd and a RB like James who has shown game breaker ability at Oregon in the 3rd, and then mix in some late round depth to boot. Works for me.
On a side note, I hope your just going to be taking on a diminished capacity in the forum, not leaving it altogether. It's nice to read posts from someone who posts consistently and has good opinions, whether I agree with them all the time or not. If you do disappear, I hope life treats you well wherever it takes you.
As an added note after the original post, I would love to see how this turns out after the draft to see if the statistical numbers add up to our actual picks. I think this is a far more clever idea than most of these egotistical draft "experts" who infuse more of themselves into their mocks than I'd like to see. _________________ “They were threatened by my intelligence and too stupid to know that’s why they hated me.”

Should be interesting to see how sharp the masses of FF are at predicting our selections. Cool work imani.
Very intrigued by the consistency of Vaughn Meatoga in the 6th. You'd think there would be much more variance in that round. _________________

Thank you all for the kind words, it means a lot. As long as we keep a strong necleus of posters i'll do my best to stick around, and i'll probably drop by every once and a while and do the immuhguy thing
Once again I appreciate it fellas, keep up the activity on here. We got a big summer coming up
PS: Tats you can lock this if you like, i was going to do something after the draft was over....but i don't think that will be necessary . The only player that even got close to being predicted was wagner, most of the other guys didn't even make it to fine print _________________

The data actually isn't completely useless imani.
Notice that, technically, the masses actually got the position we would be selecting right. Irvin was listed as a LB so I'll count that. They're not exactly in the right rounds (and we obviously ended up with more picks) but the positions are right outside of the 7th round. _________________
