improvement #1:
the Vikings have held a halftime lead four times this season and are unbeaten in those games. That's quite a departure from the first month of 2011 when blown leads were the norm.

Pass Defense
We havent played against the best competition yet, but the guys we have played have not done that well against us. We already have more passes defensed this season then last and our dbs just look more disruptive and active before the receivers make the catch. |

I don't have the numbers but Blair Walsh has been much more proficient than Ryan Longwell when it comes to kicking touchbacks. _________________

Blair Walsh has already kicked more touchbacks than Longwell did all of last season.
Longwell all of 2011 - 19
Walsh through 7 games - 27
Regression #1:
It's hard to say that we've regressed anywhere, but if there is anywhere, it's the play of Jenkins and Aromashodu. They weren't all that great last year, but it seems that they've even regressed from that. _________________

Looking at the entire 2011 season vs. now, I think we've improved anywhere. Not that amazing, seeing as how there was little room left to regress at that point.
I can only think of a few players that seem to have regressed:
Jared Allen, not quite as dominant as in previous years. Not just the stats, but the impact as well.
Toby Gerhart, though I don't think he's really regressed as a player, but he just isn't being used to his strenghts. Giving him a snap here and there doesn't work, he needs bulk carries to be effective.
I'd argue every position group, as a whole, is stronger now than previous years. _________________
